Not that many , non-franchise, coffee spots in the quiet corner of Connecticut and so this stands out for that but also their great lattes and dessert options. Haven't had a bad drink there yet and the ambience is great. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

After standing at the bar for about 15 minutes waiting to order and being overlooked by the bartender. The Bartender was rude and scrutinized me and my boyfriends ID’s even though we are 25. Additionally when asking for them he said “I’m gunna need to see some ID” as if he had already assumed we were underage. There’s a much more polite way to ask for it, I get asked all the time since I look young for my age. Drinks are pretty mediocre for the price. Sad part is I chose this place over bearhands (where I always go an love) and am now regretting that decision. I could have gotten 4 drinks at bear hands for the price of 1 here lol. Super friendly people, great service, we had travelled almost 2 hours to get to Putnam for a day of antiquing and they were kind enough to let 10-12 of us use their bathroom with a smile and no expectation of purchase, super friendly and helpful answering questions about parking options in the area. Bought an iced chai latte that was great and some chocolate twinkies that I brought home for those in the family that could not go with us. They were also really good. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I enjoyed my lunch at Sawdust today. The bagel was warm and delicious, and the cream cheese was amazing. The BLT was cooked well and a good size. I hope to get a huge cinnamon role next time I come in. The cucumber watermelon refresher was good, however the guava passion fruit smoothie is watery and not great. The interior is very cute and the prices are great for a small business. Highly recommend.
I come here all the time to sit and draw both inside on the couches or outside on the bistro chairs. So far I’ve had the BLT and Avocado Toast, the ice coffee and a few cocktails all were perfect. One Friday night I came to listen to acoustic music and met a new Frend. Great place to socialize. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
Extremely kind staff and delicious lunch and coffee. Was never impressed with Victoria Station. Happy to say Sawdust was the coffee shop I always hoped would move into this location. Will be back for sure !
Saw dust Coffee House & Dessert Bar, Putnam has a beautiful 50 person capacity upstairs room. I rented it for my daughters bridal shower and couldn't have been happier. Pete was easy to work with and had wonderful suggestions for the brunch. Brook, Trisha, and Heather did an outstanding job during the shower. Those ladies worked so hard running around to take care of anything we asked for and couldn't have been more pleasant. Everything from the mimosas, muffins, quiches, scones, potatoes, and yogurt parfaits was delicious. Our guests loved their made to order coffee drinks and the delicious Espresso and Salted Caramel martinis. I would highly recommend Saw Dust Coffee House and Dessert Bar for your event.
