Our server was great with a fantastic personality. Even though he was extremely busy, he was on top. Definitely will be coming back. The food was awesome. The cheese fries were a bit pricey for what you got, but they were really good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This beachside gem was exactly what I was looking for on my vacation to gulf shores. The food was delicious -comforting and filling. I ended up taking most of the value sized dinner home for leftovers. The restaurant was clean and darling. It felt like a real authentic southern beach experience. The staff was so kind and Alicia our server was a delight. She was very informative about the menu and specials and made sure we were taken care of. She was quick and personable and her bright smile and personality added to the warm experience. She even offered to help us pack our take home food in the box. I recommend anyone looking for some local culture and great food stop in for a memorable time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very very disappointed with the changes being made. We’re Snow Birds that usually hang out and eat 2 or 3 times a week. Happy hour is gone, specials are gone, but the prices have gone sky high. This is not an upscale dining experience but based on the new prices, they think they are. Staff used to be exceptionally friendly, but this new group of people think they are doing us a favor. Change can be good at times but too often people (owners) forget one of the most important service rules. “If it ain’t broke, DON’T fix it. These changes and prices might work for the summer crowd that come maybe once while they are visiting, but it doesn’t work for the 3 month Snow Bird folks. Sorry but we’re moving on. Found a new place to spend our money for the next few months. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We eat here every time we are in the area. Food is incredible and consistent! They don't take reservations, so try and get in before peak hours. The wait staff is very friendly and always happy. It can be a bit noisy, so babies may not do well here. There are plenty of TVs to watch with options of sports or a movie. We had Jurassic World, and it was a great distraction for the kids. Will always be happy and repeat customers. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Crab Cakes Dinner

If you want great seafood with a beachy atmosphere, this is the place! Will definitely return! Had crab cake and it was very good...not lump crab but a really good blend of crab and seasonings. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Crab Cake
Got the Crabby Chicken. Was pretty good with the candy bacon added as well. Scalloped potatoes weren’t my favorite but the grilled veggies were good. We enjoyed supper and had a good time. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We picked up our food to take back to the beach, so we didn't really experience a lot of service or the atmosphere. We all ordered blackened fish tacos except my granddaughter, who got the kids' quesadilla. The tacos are in a soft taco shell and have more fish than you can eat! I think only one of the four adults were able to eat the entire taco. My granddaughter said her quesadilla was extra cheesy so we were all happy. The prices are decent here. Good laid back beach atmosphere- live music on the patio the night we went. We had the kids chicken tenders and kids fried fish- both were excellent and good sized portions. The kids plates are frisbee/sand sifters they get to keep. I had the crab claw appetizer and a pain killer. The crab claws weren’t flavorful at all and I wouldn’t order them again. The pain killer was lovely. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
Was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but sadly, it's a "one and done" for us. At least at this particular location. There's not really a sign outside, so it's not easy to spot...until you realize their sign is a beat up old yellow school bus, and a couple of very ratted flags flying about that are so weather worn that you can't really read what they say, giving the impression that the business might be closed. I was willing to look past that and not judge by that alone. When we pulled in the parking lot, things looked a bit better. They have a liquor store and a nice little market there, but that's not what this review is about. We walked into the restaurant area and found a hostess stand and waited for the lady to help us. We opted to eat outside - which was nice. Tables are spaced evenly so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. They have background music playing at just the right volume. The menu is interesting, but not too many choices if you don't eat seafood. The good thing is that you can order a burger and have it blackened! The burger was ok, but the only cheese choice you have is cheddar. And the burger was as tough as shoe leather. (I wasn't offered to make a choice of medium, medium well, etc...) The fries were hot and very good, but still no ranch (see issue below) and they have food service brand ketchup...no thanks! The server...well, she started out friendly and great, was able to answer the many questions we had, and then we placed our order. She brought us our food when it was ready, but forgot the side of ranch. She told us she'd be right back with more drinks and the ranch. We didn't see her again until I went looking for to go containers and our bill. If the restaurant was busy, I would have understood, but there were only 2 other tables outside and nobody was inside. The server who was taking care of those tables was doing an excellent job...I didn't feel we should ask her to find our server... All in all, it may have been an off day for the server, and I could maybe overlook that if the food stood out, but it didn't. So with all the other fantastic food choices in the area, this is a one chance only situation and it's not worth another chance. Come on in y’all are welcome here! Sassy Bass restaurant and market is located on Fort Morgan road in Fort Morgan,Alabama. If you like great food in a fun nautical environment then this is the place! Friendly efficient service, great menu for food and specialty drinks. Family friendly, wheelchair accessible, and ample dirt parking facility. Large covered patio and indoor seating as well as a full bar. Easy to see from the street as you can’t miss the old school bus that marks the spot. Casual attire is more than acceptable. We went for lunch after a painting job and as luck would have it, it was raining when we got in. We had the shrimp and griefs, best I’ve had so far and the new menu item the chicken stack. All I can say is wow! Be hungry as the menu has a lot to offer for anyone. The market is next door and offers all sorts of grocery items, beer, wine, and liquor, all kinds of novelty items and beach gear. I’m sure the restaurant gets busy so be prepared and traffic on fort Morgan road can be hectic at times so plan accordingly and be patient. It’s totally worth going to and we will be back for food and fun! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30
