My wife and I had an enjoyable dinner in Valentine’s Day. Our steaks were cooked just right and had great flavor from the seasoning. The brussel sprout side was one of best I have ever eaten. Ordered lunch special, servings are smaller but cheaper and quail in bacon goes as appetizer but I got it as a meal. Comes with brussel sprouts so yummy and pretty. My wife and I eat here fairly often. (6times a year) has always been pretty consistent in the past but the last couple times the backed potatoes were not cooked all the way. Today was no exception. The prices we pay in a restaurant like this are high enough already but when the food is less than adequate it gets aggravating to say the least. Server was great but for a steak house, I’d order the chicken fried steak or chicken, steaks are not that good, even after sent back and second one brought out. Quality of meat just not there. Some good friends shared dinner with me and my wife at the Saltgrass Steakhouse in College Station to celebrate my birthday. First, I have to mention the Landry's Select Club card that got me $25 off the cost of my meal -- just because it was my birthday month! Nice! Our waitress was a little slow getting to us, but once we got her attention, she was superb in tending to us. Plus, she informed me that a free dessert was in order because it was actually the day of my birthday. Doubly nice! Our meals were fine, though my wife was served a chicken fried steak instead of the chicken fried chicken she ordered. Thus, one star off for that mistake. Otherwise, it was quite the pleasant visit.
