This was our first time here and everything was exceptional. Our server was very kind and attentive. The food itself was flavorful and delicious, especially the roasted duck. We got heart cookies at the end. I'd definitely come back.

This is just based solely on Boon's chicken, as this is all I ordered.. but I heard the rest of the food was really good. But the chicken was wrapped in leaves and very dry and hard. The staff was very friendly though. This is mostly take out. If you happen to eat there you do eat with paper plates and to-go containers.

I've been going to Saen for about 20 years now. The food is totally authentic and fresh. They will make it any way you like as far as spiciness is concerned.
Boon and his wife have been in business for 34 years, and their success is because of the delicious authentic Thai cuisine, friendly owner and staff, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Having been in the restaurant business myself for 12 years, I can see why they're so successful!

Saen Thai, a culinary oasis in the heart of the Poconos, where Boone, the spice sorcerer, orchestrates a symphony of flavors that dance on the taste buds. With a mere mention of "Thai spicy," Boone, the maestro of heat, crafts a masterpiece tailored to my fiery cravings. His mysterious wife, the enchantress in the kitchen, weaves spells of culinary delight, though her name eludes me.
On this gastronomic escapade, I embarked on a journey that transcended ordinary fare. A celestial offering arrived – smoked salmon adorned with the intrigue of scorpion peppers, harmonizing with onions and capers in a dance of flavors that left my palate in awe.
Drunken noodles, a daring duo of chicken and shrimp, performed a culinary ballet, showcasing the artistry of Saen Thai. This audacious combination, a testament to their innovative prowess, left me wondering, who else dares to reach such heights?
Reflecting on past encounters, two stalwarts of Thai cuisine graced my palate – Pad Thai, a delicate dance of noodles, and Green Curry, an aromatic embrace of coconut and herbs. Each dish, a testament to Saen Thai's commitment to authenticity and culinary excellence.
Saen Thai stands as a beacon of Thai gastronomy, a haven where every dish is a love letter to tradition. The staff, an ensemble of hospitality virtuosos, adds warmth to the culinary spectacle. To label it the best Thai restaurant in the Poconos is an understatement; it's a gastronomic odyssey that transcends the ordinary, a haven where authenticity meets innovation in a symphony of flavors.

Embarking on a culinary journey at Saen Thai Cuisine unveils the exquisite artistry of Thai cooking—an intricate dance of flavors where garlic, ginger, basil, scorpion pepper, and coriander perform a delicate ballet on the taste buds. The enchanting Thai flavor is woven with threads of Thailand's lemon grass, tamarind, galanga, and kaffir lime leaves, orchestrating a symphony of taste that transcends the ordinary.
Saen, Boone, and their adept staff are the maestros behind this culinary magic, transforming each dish into an extraordinary feast. Boone, the culinary virtuoso behind the counter, adds his spicy prowess to each creation, utilizing an impressive array of peppers that elevate the dining experience to unprecedented heights.
But the sensory delight doesn't end with the savory notes. Saen Thai Cuisine offers a harmonious encore with its amazing selection of teas and desserts. Each sip is a poetry of flavors, and every dessert is a sweet sonnet that leaves a lingering melody on the palate.
As you navigate the menu, let your senses be serenaded by the diverse offerings, from the Him Ma Parn's sautéed symphony to the Vegetarians Delight's verdant verses. Pahd Roum Mid pirouettes with sautéed grace, while Pla Mok or Goong Pahd Pad engages in a spicy tango. Pla Raad Prik and Pla Jian offer crispy masterpieces, and Pla Song Krueng is an opulent aria of flavors.
Completing this culinary symphony is Goong Pahd Sauce, a fiery finale of sautéed shrimp enveloped in a spicy sweet and sour embrace. Saen Thai Cuisine beckons you to revel in the endless, exotic, and downright delicious variety, turning an ordinary meal into a culinary odyssey.
So, surrender to the spellbinding harmony of flavors, where the culinary alchemy of Saen, Boone, and their talented staff transforms each bite into a magical experience.

One of the best Thai food any where! SAEN is a local favorite, coming here for years and in our opinion one of the best Thai food anywhere. No matter where we travel, our family always comes back here. We have probably had most items on menu over the years, never disappointed. Boon knows his customers well and his wife is a great chef.

We stopped here on our way into NYC. We wanted to get something quick before we got into the city. We just happened to see a sign for Thai food and gave it a try. It's not far off the freeway. It's mostly a catering/takeout spot. When we walked in there was nobody else there. The place is very simple but there are beautiful wooden carvings and various other indicators that this place is legit and we're about to eat some good food. The old man there was super helpful, nice, and funny. We had steamed dumplings for appetizer, my friend had hot and sour soup and all of our various entrees, everything was top notch. Very reasonable pricing and good portions. He brought out every sauce and hot pepper that he had and told us what was what. We'll be stopping by on our way back home tomorrow.
This place is simple, clean, and friendly. It's not a big place but there are ten tables. Plenty of parking.

Found this spot for lunch while kids were in ski school at Shawnee. Only 6min drive from the mountain, parking lot was empty. Take out only, no dine in as they can’t find staff. The owners were very polite n nice. Ordered chicken Penang curry and drunken noodles. And boy it was the right choice. The food was incredible, spicy and delicious. We took it back to the mountain and enjoy the hot n spicy food while it snowed on a 30F afternoon. A bit pricey but it don’t matter when the food tastes incredible.
We Will def be back when we back at Shawnee.

I was visiting Delaware River Gap Recreation area and had a chance to visit them during lunch. The best Thai I have had in a long time! Owner came out of the kitchen and interacted few of us and offered samples of hot sauces that he prepared in house! The staff was amazing! This place is decorated with many wall pieces made in Thailand (I assume)! It was just wonderful experience! Overall food is really awesome in this are.
