Eh, not my fav. 1st time and apparently I had the wrong idea in the first place. But was excited to try. 1) I wanted the pulled pork - "We are out" 2) Ok, I'll take the jalapeno n cheddar sausage - "We are out" 3) I'll settle with Wet brisket - Not wet. 4) 2 corns - given 1 corn. Rudy's BBQ came through last minute on a catering for an event I was attending. The original catering canceled less than an hour before and there were easily over 1000 people there. As a small business owner myself this can be a huge strain and headache on the staff and business but they pulled out a miracle and should be recognized! Thank you Rudy's! The food is amazing. The service is a little slow, definitely like being in the south. The staff has continuous personal conversations going on and stop to chat with each other, which slows them down considerably. The food is amazing. I really like this place. It has a lot of really good BBQ options. I've had and enjoyed the ribs and the turkey sandwich, my wife is a fan of the pulled pork and my son enjoys the sausage. My buddy had the brisket sandwich, he said it had good flavor but was a little dry. For a chain BBQ joint it does really well. Is it the best, no, but it has several things that it excels at. You don't have to drive hours or stand in line for hours to get some good BBQ, they have a great selection of Shiner beers which I have become a fan of, and it is just a fun place to go with the family. Awesome place, from the food to the service. We stepped in and before ordering the cashier offered food samples of almost everything, we were very pleased with all that we decided to dine in and take some to go. Unique area to keep the smoked meat and island drinks. Bathroom are clean and they have plenty of free parking. They have only two barbecue sauces, wich was enough, since the meat didn't need much, because it tasted delicious as it was. We will definitely return for more. I highly recommend Rudy's!! Ordering online was simple and quick. The only item that I didn't find was the Prime Rib but it was easy to order it from the very helpful and courteous staff who handled the order pickup. The two young ladies who handled my order were very helpful and welcoming! And the food was delicious and fresh!! We live about 15 miles from this Rudy's so if the food wasn't so tasty and the service wasn't as great as it is, I certainly wouldn't drive that far!!!
