Stopped in on our way home from Bangor heading to Biddeford. We miss the Ruby Tuesday we had in Biddeford and Westbrook. Our waitress had a lot of tables so she wasn't very attentive to our needs, and my son-in-law never got his meal, so they finally brought it out, and it was no cost to him. Other than that, everyone else got their meals and they were very good. Our waitress did the best she could considering!! Went for lunch.. small wait which was fine. The table behind us was very vocal and full of complaints which was distracting but our experience was not bad. My husband and I both got the salad bar added to our meals for $5.99. Salad bar was great and fully stocked. They really kept up with it as it was busy. My sandwich (pictured) was good but I was hoping it would have been better. My husband got the chicken bourbon cheese stack. He said it was ok. Let me start by saying I haven’t been to a ruby Tuesdays in 10-15 years so it was surprising to walk in and see the exact same sad decor that I remember it as being a long time ago. We first ordered our drinks but noticed my wife’s had mold like floaters around the bottom of the glass, that was the first red flag. For my meal I got the 6 ounce steak and ribs meal I asked for it to be done medium well but what I got was a well done possibly 3 ounce steak that was 1/4” thick and about 3” round, the ribs were ok, I asked for mash potatoes instead of fries and the mash potatoes presented and tasted like boxed potatoes. My father in all got a burger that he asked to be done medium well but he got a burnt hockey puck instead. My wife’s dish was certainly not anything to write home about either it was an expensive dish with shrimp and ribs there was barely any shrimp on the plate. All of our meals were way over priced for the quality and quantity of food given. We also all got the salad bar, my first time up I had to go through about 6 plates in a row to find a clean one, my wife also reported the same issue when she got back to the table. The salad bar was ok once you picked through the slimy bits of lettuce. So we spend over $100 dollars for 3 people for just a meal, no desserts, and one soda with two waters, we walked away feeling like we got robbed due to the poor quality of the food, quantity and price. Now I know why ruby Tuesdays was not in our rotation of restaurants for so long, this experience cemented the fact that we will never be back to any ruby Tuesdays after this visit.
