Stopped in on the way to paint some pottery and tried a bit of everything. I loved the chia latte and my daughter really enjoyed her hot chocolate. My mom was in LOVE with the gluten free sandwich she got though I wasn’t as fond of the chocolate croissant. Overall, a fantastic spot for tasty treats! I made this spot my go to for two weeks when I was in the area over the summer. The comforting, welcoming environment was such a wonderful touch and the staff were great! They know what they’re doing here! The baristas today were professionals, and despite getting the wrong flavor for my latte I couldn’t complain. Their vibe is unique and eclectic, and I wouldn’t want it any other way for them. Our visit was as a result of a neighboring cafe being closed early, and I’m so glad we made it in. I’m not sure if by design, but we found some small games near our table and enjoyed a quick game of Uno with our drinks. Couple this with their prime location, and this is a must visit. We tried multiple coffee places in town, and I only recommend Rough Pony and Brew. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Easy and quick food options with a nice twist. Came here with two others and we all loved our coffee and breakfast. I had the bougie toast and their cereal milk iced coffee. Vegan options, yusssss! As of 5/2023 they have a vegan breakfast burrito (amazing) and vegan cream cheese for their bagels (haven’t tried yet). Their non-dairy milk is oat milk. Please give them a try! Thanks for having vegan options! Service Dine in

First time at Rough Pony though I've been meaning to head into town to check it out ever since it opened. Absolute delight, the place is cozy as hell and comforting and warm and painted the exact shade of soft purple you had in your bedroom when you were an early 2000's tween and in love with Heath Ledger after watching 10 Things I Hate About You. I had the most memorably kind and friendly barista interaction I think I've ever had, and I love that for a new place, the shop doesn't feel sterile at all but well lived in and cared for. Came in to console myself after a dentist appointment and another gross gray Michigan morning and it did the trick, ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was perfect. 110% my favorite coffee shop in TC. The vibe is *chefs kiss* and the staff is so delightfully kind and fun. I also appreciate their commitment and care to use locally sourced goods. Last time I was there I had a perfect shot of espresso (iykyk) and the magic hour juice which I now dream about on the daily. My toddler niece had a hot chocolate and we shared some monkey bread and she sends rave reviews that were spoken in toddler - so you just gotta trust me on this one. Big love to y'all!
