Huge disappointment. First time here since they moved, and it will be my last. I watched a number of staff members touching plates and food as it came out of the kitchen, and one person had the nerve to eat off my daughter's plate. I complained to our waiter and the manager only to get excuses that she was wiping something off the plate. I saw what I saw. I was so bummed when I saw the old location get demolished and thought they were gone completely. I always wanted to dine in this staple of Elk Grove. BUT my friend said they just relocated. I was very happy to hear that they did and they didn’t close for good. The food was delicious, my steak was cooked to perfection. The décor is so gorgeous. And service was super friendly. I ordered the Italian on a croissant, and it tastes like Italian beef. I wish they had added some hot or sweet peppers for more flavor. Although the portion was excellent, the thinly sliced, tender beef tasted a little dry. A good au ju dipping sauce would have improved it. The chicken rice soup with cream was really tasty. The soup was thick and creamy, with a nice texture of rice that wasn't overly firm or mushy. However, the chicken meat was barely noticeable, and adding some color would have greatly improved the soup's appearance. As always, put food was delicious and fresh. What really impressed me was their eagerness to accommodate. My son had a taste for something of on the menu. The owner came over, told us it could be made, and delivered! We walked away the happiest of campers! We are here before at the old location, the new location is nice and bright. We had 6 in our party and were celebrating my son's girlfriend birthday. I asked the waiter Bernardo of they had something for a birthday and he said yes a Sunday and when they brought it out the whole wait staff came over to sing. Aside from that, Bernardo was very attentive the whole time, getting refills.
