The perfect hideout when it snows and storms in Tromso. Comfortable seating, quick service, friendly staff. Location is right in center of Oslo. They have delicious coffee (brewed traditionally!) and a few simple options for food. We took the Panne and the Omelette. To finish it off, both the cinnamon roll and brownie are worth it also! We found this little gem of a cafe two blocks down the street from where we were staying. The environment is cozy and inviting and the staff are tremendously welcoming and helpful. You do need to find yourself a table first before you can enjoy the fare they have to offer. Their menu is not huge but you should find something for everyone (as it is hand written on a board I suspect it may change depending on what’s available). I opted for the lentil and barley soup, which came with bread and butter. It’s was just what the doctor ordered, tasty, yummy, warming and filling. I also got the local ham and cheese sourdough toast sandwich which was really nice, the ham was on the saltier side similar to a prosciutto but was perfect in this case. The only thing was I ordered too much and should have gone with one of the other so I didn’t struggle to finish it at. Their coffee selection is many and they are so accurate that they weight how much grounds to us to get the perfect pour and to watch the detail they take in adding the milk to make latte art is mesmerising. Simply the best coffee in Tromsø. Not bitter, not sour, like a lot of Norwegian coffee, but very delicious and flavourfull. The art on coffee is pretty amazing too! Their cinnamon buns and pastries are definitely a must - delicious, fluffy and just melting in your mouth.
