If you’re white, worth visiting. Me and my girlfriend were made to feel profiled. Bartender was aggressive when asking for specification on the two beers available- Blonde or Amber. Didn’t get an answer. The guy who Is dressed like a Pinkerton is apparently the owner. He won’t greet you or pay any mind but you might catch him drinking at the bar. Was the low point on an otherwise cute day on the town. Hand them cash when you order because trying to get the bartender to close you out is an ordeal. We were lucky that the hard working hispanic woman heard us ask to close out. After listening to the owner berate her in broken Spanish. The Amber is piss btw. Maybe the blonde is better but I had no desire to stick around for another beer after being ignored while the elderly white couple gets read the menu. Earbud guy sucks. Didn’t try the food but the service killed any appetite we had. Spring breakers go literally anywhere else please
We decided to give this place a try for the pizza. With the special (2 topping large and a mixed drink for 11.99) it was very reasonably priced and the pizza was delicious! My husband had the mango moonshine and liked that too! We will be back!
This was our second time here and both times we have had a wonderful experience. We had a meat lovers pizza and a thin crust vegetarian pizza. Both were amazing!! I highly recommend this place.
We will definitely be back.
I’ve been to south padre several times and finally discovered this GEM of a place, just across from the island at Port Isabel. Let me start by saying the ambience and organic collection of memorabilia surrounding us was unforgettable, with a nod towards being on an old ship. We met the owner, Jarrod Henry, pictured here in the hat. If you are looking for authentic drinks, not that cheap processed stuff, then this is the place to visit!
The day we visited, they had live music, true Texas music.
The crowd was relaxed and friendly. The food was amazing, I had the tuna fish sandwich, which was an upgrade from anything I make it home.
I was able to sample their homemade moonshine, bourbon and gin. This place made one of the best old fashions I’ve had in a long time. This establishment made me feel like I was truly on vacation. It was unique and quirky. Find a place to park, come inside, settle in for a while and enjoy a truly Texas experience.
We had the pizza and seafood pasta salad. Everything was delicious. My husband had the Maple old fashioned. I sampled it and that was also very good. Service was good also.
Me and my friend occasionally go to have drinks at this perfect spot right next to the Queen Isabella Causeway! After a long day of work she’s exhausted….Im annoyed… we walk in and automatically she sees this comfy little chair in the entrance and decides she wants that cushiony, comfy, lonely chair 🪑 They don’t seem to mind that she prefers that than the hard long bench and for that we will always go and enjoy us some drinks and pizza at our favorite place! Drinks are Bomb, environment is relaxing and the pizza is cheeeeeeesy!
Wanted to try what moonshine was all about and we found this place on the way to the island. The moment we walked in we were friendly greeted and offered the taste tests and they have a variety of amazing flavors. If you are going to the island stop here for your moonshine you won’t regret it. We stayed for 2 days and had to come back cause this stuff is just amazing. Highly recommended !!!
