We are extremely disappointed with the experience we had with "Preuf en Proost" in Voerendaal, which I booked through Heerlijk.nl for Christmas Eve dinner. When we arrived at the address listed on the confirmation email, ew discovered that the restaurant was closed and that there was no restaurant at that location. This was very frustrating and disappointing, especially since we had driven for more than 40 minutes from our hotel in Belgium to the address provided.
After searching online, we found that the restaurant had moved to a new location!!! It was extra 20 minutes drive. We tried to reach them by phone to double check and inform for a delay but there were no response. Moreover, when we arrived at the new location, the restaurant was just closed!!! This was extremely inconvenient and caused us a lot of frustration and disappointment, particularly because we were unable to find another option for dinner on such a special night.
Our Christmas Eve celebration was just destroyed.
Later, after we got back home in 2 days, we contacted Heerlijk.nl about the situation, but their response has been extremely disappointing. The compensation they offered us with the restaurant for the inconvenience after many e-mails was simply inadequate, consisting of coffee with cookies (to get it we would again have to travel over 3 hours round trip from South Holland!), despite the fact that we had driven for more than two hours to reach the restaurant and back, wasted our time and money on an experience that fell through without any notice or explanation.
I hope that this review will alert others to the unreliability of "Preuf en Proost" and the lack of helpful customer service from Heerlijk.nl. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, and we would not recommend either the restaurant or the booking service Heerlijk.nl based on our experience.

Leuke bediening. Kleine porties. Amuse was niet van het huis, terwijl het wel leek als of het huis ze aanbood. Rode wijn geteld in plaats van rose. Geen personeel aanwezig om beklag te doen.
Door een preufbon te krijgen hebben we een zeer leuke eetervaring gehad bij dit restaurant iedere gang was een feestje zeer goed 👍 voor herhaling vatbaar
