It was okay. We went for the pie. We both got a skillet special. Nothing great to write home about as far as the food goes. Our total bill was $60. I think it was a little much for what we got and the way the food tasted. But the pie was great! The service was excellent we had a great waitress. The atmosphere was okay they were getting busy. We stopped in unannounced after a funeral with a large gathering, close to 50 people. They took us in groups and seated us all. Great staff who took it all in stride, and even told me that we made their afternoon. Food was great and service was prompt, even for having such a large group. Under the Largest American Flag you've ever seen proudly illuminated lies an American family resturant with Great Burgers, Chicken, Shrimp, Tomato soup, !Pie! Etc! I had an awesome Meatloaf platter with mashed potatoes and got 2 veggie sides (bacon green beans and the sweet corn - yum!) My husband tried the Tomato Soup and a Burger - yum!! What a huge and interesting menu! The desk staff was very helpful, and the food came out hot in a flash. We didn't get to stay and deeply enjoy the place, as the snowstorm had us On The Road Again. We MOST highly Recommend Perkins for the weary & hungry traveling family or long traveling trucker!
