It's been a long time since I was inside because I moved out of Peoria. Food and service were as good as expected. Atmosphere was not as remembered, but the change was negligible since I was getting take out. LaGondola has the best garlic bread with cheese. I have yet to find anything on the menu that isn't good. I love the convenience of the drive up window for to go orders. Friendly and fast staff every time. I've never been disappointed with any of the locations. Visited this location based on word of mouth suggestions. Vey easy to find with plenty of parking available. Also, there’s a drive up window to pick up orders from, which is a convenience. After dining in here, the best way to describe the experience would be that it’s a couple of notches above a fast food establishment. You walk in and immediately order at the counter. All ware is disposable including a cup to get your own fountain drink. You give them your name and a server brings it out to you. There is no waiter making rounds and you clean up after yourself. The establishment is decorated uniquely and is quite small on the inside. You can tell this place would be a favorite among locals. Unfortunately the food was below par. The presentation is completely missing the mark here, as you will see in the pictures. And honestly the food just didn’t leave any kind of impression. How the lasagna was presented really finalized my review. With that being said, I would not return to this establishment at this location. This place is an absolute gem. 💯 i have never been here before. But everything was great !! From service to atmosphere. Beautiful restrooms and the food was amazing. We are going back. I usually do drive through pick-up (make sure to call and order ahead), the staff is wonderful and friendly, the food is fresh and great! Wait time is never too long unless they’re slammed which happens from time to time. I’ve been going for the torpedo/gondola sub, (always a great classic and their bread is on par with Michael’s Italian Feast), and/or tortellini (a little better than Michael’s if I do say so myself). The food was good, very good. I personally really liked the setup and decorations but I understand why some people might not. My only company really would be the size of the side salad, it was tiny in my opinion. Otherwise good food and nice people. For two adults and two children ordering corresponding meals, the prices were far too high. Salad came in thin, flimsy plastic disposable bowls that my fork went through. The dinner came in an equally small, plastic, dish that looked like it just came from a microwaveable frozen lunch. Nobody checked on us and there were not enough utensils. Completely dissatisfying for the prices charged. I will not revisit nor will I recommend to others. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else. We ordered a large pizza with multiple toppings, with several drinks. The pizza was delicious. The coffee option was disappointing because you were given an empty cup and pointed towards another room to make your own coffee from a Keurig machine. This other room is the room with a gambling machine. The Keurig machine has multiple buttons for cup sizes, so you don't know the correct buttons to push for the cup size that you were handed. This should be marked on the machine. Overall, it is a good restaurant with good food. Just don't order a coffee. First time actually being in Peoria and was introduced to go to this restaurant by a friend that lived there for a good 2 decades. The ravioli dinner is what I selected. Nothing really much to say about the salad. It's just a normal salad. But the ravioli is something else. You can easily tell it wasn't just frozen reheated as I would have expected. Someone was back there making it. It was flavorful and not bland. They gave me way more sauce than I need which went well with the garlic bread. The garlic bread was so buttered up and soft that I wish I had an entire loaf to myself. I also got to try their pizza. They definitely spent time making and didn't just throw that together. The aromas of the different cheese in a plain cheese pizza made every bite mouth watering. I need to go back and eat the rest of the menu!
