This is a comfort food place. We had half pound sirloin, it comes with salad, toast and fries or hashbrowns, and a beef stew, it was tasty, but not outstanding. Customer service is very friendly. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

This place is awesome! I came in here to play some slots and have a drink. Ended up getting breakfast, I ordered the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs and jj's gravy and it was delicious. Not to mention the price, under 15 bucks is a fantastic deal. I will definitely be going back. This was an interesting concept for a restaurant because it was mixed a old bar, restaurant and slot machine. Over the bar there was a massive display of guns which I wish I took a picture of. But I must warn you to pack your patience the food took a long time because this like the Waffle house style with just one grill and one cook. Very good! Naked dude at Jerry Johnson's hot spring told me to come here and get the chicken fried steak with JJ's gravy on the hash browns. Good advice! Update: Came here again last week and had the same thing. Awesome! Vincent the cook is a national treasure, and I hope to see him again next year.

Ok so this is that old greasy spoon dinner and bar. The food was really good. The cook was a machine. I watched the one cook, cook for everyone in the bar all by him self! Unfortunately I was the last to order and the one server didn't speak enough English to even find out how long on our order. I would love to try again when staffed better. This is truly a gem of Missoula. The staff is super friendly. Inside isn't anything special, but you get that old tavern feel. I loved it. If you sit at the bar, you can watch your food being made. I had their chicken fried steak and it was great. My wife had the ham and cheese omelet and it was great as well. If in Missoula, you MUST eat here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This is a very unique place having a diner and a bar in the same open room. It also has some very old guns behind the bar, which is really cool and neat to look at. As far as the food, it is excellent the eggs tasted great along with the burger, and Gravy. The Oxford has great customer service is reasonably priced and has a little bit of a sh!t show going on. After striking out at a couple other places in Downtown Missoula for brunch, my wife and I visited the Oxford on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022. We were just looking for a place to eat but we ended up getting an experience as well. We sat at the kitchen bar that overlooks the grill. We got to watch the cook prepare meal after meal on a busy Sunday and it was so cool to watch him handle the volume with such talent! It was like hibachi but American style. The single server who was working did such a good job keeping up with the pandemonium. It is old and dark inside the restaurant but it just adds to the atmosphere. Our food was pretty good. I got the sausage and cheddar omelette and my wife ordered the famous chicken fried steak. Both dishes came with hash browns and toast. The best part? Everything is so cheap! The total for our brunch was $22. When you visit the Oxford—and you can visit it anytime you want because it is open 24/7/365—you don’t just get good food but you also get superb service, inexpensive prices, and a whole lot of culture. Loved the history of this place so chose to eat here on our way though town ...Super intertainting Angry Cook at 1030pm on Wednesday night... not busy at all.... food was fine... no refills and worried to ask for ranch for the tenders lol... didn't want to make him more upset... 2 other employees trying to keep their distance n not being helpful what so ever! Still totally worth the stop if ur not looking for fancy... if ever back in town will try it again ;)

It’s breakfast time and this diner/bar is walking distance from the AC hotel. Searched a bit on Google and saw pictures of the chicken fried steak so my mind was made up. I love CFS and this did not disappoint. Big portion of chicken, hash browns and two eggs over-easy with a side of JJs spicy gravy. It was on Tuesday morning and there were only 5 other customers so service was fast. I Sat down and was immediately greeted and I ordered right away. Coffee and water came first, quickly, followed within a few short minutes by my delicious breakfast. I’ll be back again tomorrow to try one of the other options.
