Really enjoyed our dinner. Food was delicious and came out quick. A little odd how they do service online at the table and water, napkins, and boxes are all self service. It's not counter service but it's also not full waiter/waitress service either. But overall, we really enjoyed our experience and are glad to have a solid place to go eat right here in town! We moved in Hampstead over the summer but had not had a chance to eat at Oval & Ale. Once our son started basketball season we wanted to eat there after a game so that is what we did. We thoroughly enjoyed two vegan pizzas as you can see from photos. It is easy enough to look at the menu on your phone then order right from your phone. We did not wait long and they had a large crowd outside. Our son wanted AC so we were inside. This is definitely a cute, fun and tasty spot to go to when in Hampstead. Usually choose to dine on the patio and the temperature is good. There are outdoor heaters when it’s chilly. I love being able to order through the QR code and close my tab when I’m ready to leave. I do wish that if we dined inside, we would receive reusable glassware instead of plastic for our drinks. Beer in a plastic cup is ehh. My husband and I really enjoyed our pizza here the other night. I was wanting crispy thin crust artisan pizza and that’s exactly what Oval & Ale delivered! My husband and I shared a big fresh Greek salad and two small pizzas and that was plenty for us. We got the Greek and prosciutto pizza. Loved the options, super tasty! Balsamic vinaigrette was *chefs kiss* Decent selection of draft beers on tap, local beers were priced cheaper than at the brewery! Would love to see some more wine options. I hope that they might consider adding a few more fire pit tables as we enter the cooler season, was disappointed all of the 4 tables with pits were taken, and heaters weren’t turned on in the screened porch area. Oval&Ale has a relaxed family friendly vibe. Their flour is imported from Italy and cooked using a stone conveyor Italian made oven. They have fresh salads and craft beers on tap. I loved the spinach dip, white pizza, and patio salad. (I suggest you get Their homemade balsamic vinaigrette it’s the best dressing I've ever had.) What a great place. Awesome pizzas, good prices, great service! I totally recommend it! Thin crust pinsa is supreme!!!! Many choices for fresh toppings, served on 2 smart sizes of oval crust. The pinsa crust does not cause a huge increase in my blood sugar.. if you are diabetic this is a good thing to know. Above average selection of draft taps, served COLD! A must visit place in Hampstead. Salads are fantastic also. Pinsa list and ratings: Portobella and burrata, add on of meatball is great!! Barbeque Chicken , very tasty, could be our new favorite. Excellent freshly made pizzas and a nice selection of local beers. There is an outdoor seating area with picnic tables and corn hole. This place is popular with families with children, so be warned that you will be enjoying your brew and food in what amounts to a daycare playground.

Excellent pinsa and family friendly service. Everything was hot and served quickly. Big selection of tap beers and canned. The pretzel was awesome. Order and pay from your phone at your table. Added to our list of favorite pizza places in the Hampstead/Topsail Island area.

Our new local favorite place for pizza and beer. Pinsa aka pizzas are delicious and perfectly cooked. Our three love the kids pizza. Great variety of beers too. Love ordering through the app as it’s so quick and efficient. Staff were very helpful in any additional requests we had. We’ll be back soon!
