À propos
You can come to this confectionary restaurant after visiting Bazalgette the Whale at Whale Park. At Ona Restaurant & Lounge, pay attention to nicely cooked crab cakes, blue cheese and mixed seafood. Good sticky toffee pudding, chocolate cakes and ginger ice cream have a good taste. This place is famous for delicious draft beer, martinis or Sauvignon blanc. Some clients like great chocolate frappe, juice or lemonade at this place. Children can select dishes from the kids' menu. The staff is said to be nice here. Terrific service is something that guests note in their comments. Low prices are to be expected at this spot. You will definitely appreciate the comfortable atmosphere and fine decor. This confectionary restaurant is rated on Google 4.3 by its visitors.

Came in tonight because the drift inn was a 25 min. Wait, should have just waited. Walked over to the Ona. took awhile to be seated or even look at. Mind you they were not even busy. Ordered the only chicken item in the menu, it came barely warm, and way too much lemon. It was so over powering that it was making me nauseous and could barely finish my plate. Poor service, wasn’t talked to beside one comment “how was your food” I didn’t wanna be a downer and tell them how horrible it was. My partner had the meatloaf and had to pull a bone out of his mouth that was nearly 3” long. Our server had no smile didn’t engage and didn’t make conversation. Just sat us left and then returned with food and left … no words no nothing. Will never go back, won’t even recommend to anyone. Also the lemonade- gross not sure what it was but not great. Overall experience would be a 2. So wish we would have went next door! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

While the food was good it certainly was not worth the price, nor was the atmosphere or service worthy of the price. I would not return for dinner but would return for lunch or happy hour. When our reservation was made we specifically mentioned we would arrive for happy hour at 4 then dinner at 5. We arrived, were seated with lunch and happy hour menu, waitress came to table explained happy hour was over at 4 due to Vday but was able to give us 2 items as the happy hr menu. We then asked for the correct dinner menu and shortly after that my husband got a call from the hostess asking if we were going to keep our reservation…..we had been sitting at the able for 30+ minutes. We think the calamari was awful 😣, it was soggy and mushy, not crispy at all, what made it worse was that they added jalapeño and some weird grass on top, the whole dish was terrible and cost $18 bucks. The chowder was too creamy, not much clams in it, they charged that $12 dollars. Overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food. A delightful dining experience in beautiful Yachats. Nice relaxing ambiance with soft lighting & music. We ordered the hangar steak and mushroom ramen and both were fantastic. Ona has an exciting, varied menu. Great for a date night. Would definitely come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Have been there a few times, I sit on the patio and they accommodate my dog and bring him fresh water. Service is good, food very good. I haven't been disappointed. Nice view from the patio, too. Very disappointed to be writing this review, but it’s important that potential customers, and more so, restaurant ownership/management are aware of the experiences current guests are having at Ona. For background, I’ve dined at Ona more than a dozen times over the past 7 years as a traveler who frequented the OR coast. Now a resident of the area, I was really looking forward to dining at what has been a favorite spot in the area. Our party of 2 arrived at approx 6pm and elected to sit in the lounge. There were only 3 tables seated in the entire restaurant, and 4 patrons at the bar. We quickly settled on drinks and food to order. Unfortunately, we had neither drinks or food this evening. After sitting for 10 minutes, and still ZERO acknowledgment from any staff member, we watched multiple wait-staff standing around the bar/kitchen area (where we’re in plain sight mind you) - it felt as if they were going out of their way to ignore us. A group of 4 more people piled into the bar area and were quickly addressed and asked what they’d like to drink by the bartender. It was at that moment we left. Unacceptable in every sense of the word. We felt as though we were an inconvenience to the employees working there. How this level of “service” is tolerated by management and ownership is beyond me. The Ona brand is quickly being eroded by a staff that clearly has no idea what it means to be in the hospitality business. Do not reward this restaurant with your hard-earned money. There’s an amazing establishment across the street where you're certain to have a great experience. Another local customer lost, forever. Service: 1
A very relaxed setting, with nothing that says fancy. The place itself is resembles any average beach place you could stop by in flip flops off the sand. The menu was varied, and our party each found interesting options. Berween us, we had clam chowder, which was delicious; fish and chips, very good, and beet salad with tuna. Again, very good. I thought the prices were a bit high for what was offered. The two of us on our ticket with tip and no alcohol was over $100. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

3 tries and couldn't cook a steak rare or medium rare. They don't seem to understand that pink meat is OK if cooked properly. Very slow service and could not hold reservation properly. Clam chowder was above average but wouldn't go back just for that. Not everyone can eat seafood, so it would be nice to find at least one steakhouse on the coast that knew what they were doing. Wonderful, creative fare revolving around fresh seafood. The mushroom pate was especially a treat, and they offered gluten free bread as an alternative. I would love to see GF notations on the menu, as well as GF breading on fried options like crab cakes. Overall, can’t wait to return!
