You can come to this restaurant after seeing Storyville District. Olde N'awlins Cookery serves Cajun and Creole cuisines. Nothing can be better than ordering perfectly cooked crab cakes, smoked duck and fried catfish. This place provides tasty pecan pie, creamy cakes and bread pudding. Delicious bourbon, house wine or strawberry margarita are worth trying here. Clients visit this spot to order good ice tea, juice or lemonade. Musicians play live music in the evening. Great food and fantastic service! We are visiting from Sweden and wanted some authentic New Orleans cuisine. We found it! We were lead inside and seated by a very nice man who watched the door. Bri was our server and took care of all of our needs. The Bloody Mary was a banger and the oysters were super fresh. All of our food was tasty and the atmosphere and vibe were spot on. My mother was in the mood for oysters and I was looking for something creamy and flavorful! Upon arrival, the man at the door was welcoming and friendly. After a short wait, we were seated and immediately seen to. Bri was kind, swift, and thoughtful. She took our drink order immediately and brought us water while we explored the menu. The dark and homey environment was a welcome deviation from their cold and dull competition. The cocktails were great and the music was excellent. Be sure to swing by and get their excellent Jambalaya Pasta. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cajun Jambalaya Pasta
Love restaurant atmosphere and food. We arrived in New Orleans late night and stopped by there for quick bite and drink. Good food and friendly staff. I would love to visit again when I have a chance to New Orleans in the future. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fresh Oysters on Half Shell

Big fan of Old NOLA Cookery here! It’s a “must” for me each and every time I visit New Orleans! My personal favorite is the grilled chicken alfredo! They have switch the noodles to penne style, which isn’t my favorite type of noodle, but it’s not going to stop me from loving it! They give generous portions, and are very generous with the amount of sauce! My sister and I usually split an order of the Alfredo it’s so large (and there are so many places we want to eat at while we’re there!) - normally, they just bring the regular bowl and we both share it. This time, they asked if we were planning to split it, and they brought us each a smaller portion but in our own bowls! It was an extra $1, but it was perfect! We were very happy with the this! Our husbands had blackened chicken and blackened fish, which they both said were wonderful, but they really raved on and on about the side of greens - they agreed that they were the best greens they’d ever had! Keep up the good Old NOLA - you have my heart! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was great. If you like duck, get the duck. That would be the one dish I would highly recommend. Everyone I know who has tried it, loved it. It was their favorite bite. The blackened gator was pretty good. The fried gator was too chewy for me, and it was difficult to get down because of that. The sauce on the crab cakes was delicious. The crab cake itself was okay. It was a lot of filler, but flavor wasn't bad. The seafood gumbo wasn't to my liking, and I wouldn't order it again. It was on the bland side and super watery. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had a very large party walking in. Staff was very helpful in finding us appropriate seating, near but not all at the same table. It worked. Our server was amazing. She was so helpful in helping to pick the best dishes. I ordered the crab cake platter with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The food was so good. Everyone cleared their plates. It was fine, just expensive for what it was. I guess expected near Bourbon Street. I got Daniel's Po Boy and the shrimp tasted like it came out of the freezer not that long before they served it. It wasn't bad, just not what I know NOLA cooking can be. If you're in a time pinch like I was, it does fine for somewhere to stop in for a quick bite. I got seating pretty fast in the night.
