Dinner was great. We had an award winning Maple Bacon Bourbon Burger and a pulled pork sandwich with blueberry bbq sauce. Also perfectly cooked French fries. Definitely recommend the blueberry bbq sauce as it’s a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Well worth a visit to Silver Bay.

Their award winning burgers are no joke. We had the Cajun burger and the Maple bacon bourbon burger. Both were amazing. (The Cajun is certainly spicy.)
The service was wonderful and we were a bigger group so we would have expected things to be slow, but they were not.

Northwoods Family Grille is a must stop spot if you are in the area. It has a very classy rustic atmosphere. When you first walk in you are met with the incredible smell of smoked meats. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. We had omelettes to fuel our adventures for the day and they hit the spot just right. The western omelette was packed with ham cheese and peppers, yum! But the real star was the chicken fajita omelette that my wife had. It was packed with flavor!

The food was really good and very reasonably priced. The menu was made from family recipes with homemade sauces that you don't get at the chain restaurants. The waitress, who is also the owner, was very entertaining and made us laugh every time she stopped at our table. Definitely will go back!

Was greeted at door friendly and also server was sweet. We have been coming to North shore a long time and didn't realize restaurant was there. I ordered Philly steak and wife had shrimp and we enjoyed immensely. Portions were great and prices also were great for North shore. We will definitely be back!

Northwoods Family Grille consistently serves delicious food in a casual, comfortable setting with a fun Northwoods vibe.
As a vegetarian, I love that breakfast is served all day, which gives me plenty of options. My husband usually gets one of the burgers (10/10 rating), but today he opted for a breakfast too and loved it.
The servers are friendly and helpful, checking in just the right amount. And it's always fun when the owners have time to say hello. We always feel like we're getting special treatment, but I know that's how they treat all their customers.
Along with great tasting meals, we highly recommend the onion rings and ANY of the desserts. The only downside with eating at Northwoods is that sometimes I'm too full to get a dessert! (Brownie with ice cream and chocolate drizzle is to die for!)

Had my birthday meal at Northwoods Family Grille today. Delicious!!! Very comfy booths, servers were easy to chat with and checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I had the sirloin steak and eggs. The steak was juicy & tasty. Just like I ordered…. Medium and a bit of searing on the outside. Onion rings were golden and not greasy. I’ve had their burgers on previous visits and they are spectacular.

The food was okay but nothing I would go out of my way to come back for. My sister got the biscuits and gravy and I have to admit I thought the gravy tasted pretty bad. Thankfully her yogurt tasted fine and my French toast was not bad. Also, our server seemed pretty unfriendly. Overall just not very thrilled.

I ordered the maple bacon bourbon burger on a gluten free bun. It was incredible! I was also so impressed that just me mentioning needing a gf bun, the waitress told me the fries are NOT gluten free (they have a coating/batter on them) and gave me a couple options to substitute. I chose the baked potato, it was a great paring!

We tried to give this place a try based on the reviews. They really do have some of the best burgers we have tried. Many of their burgers have won awards. What is also unique is the different burger options that provide some really unique flavors. The Apple Bacon Cheddar Burger was excellent. It was cooked well done but was still really juicy and the pretzel bun was the perfect compliment. It was tied together nicely with the apple BBQ sauce. Definitely give them a try.
