No 88 Kitchen and Bar in Lerwick is a hidden gem. The menu is creative and ever-changing, with all ingredients sourced locally. The staff are warm, welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The scallops are melt-in-the-mouth delicious, and the mains and desserts are cooked and presented to perfection. The seafood chowder is particularly lip-smackingly good! There is something for everyone on the menu, including vegan options and Sunday roasts, and the chef is happy to accommodate any dietary requirements. There is no alcohol licence yet, but you can bring your own drink and pay a corkage fee. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lerwick or the Shetland Islands.
