Great location, the place is gorgeous inside and out. Service in dutch, german and english, very friendly and forthcoming. Wide variety of traditional dutch dishes with an individual touch and contemporary influences, interesting and delicious! Nice restaurant, very cozy and well decorated! Food is fine, nothing spetacular, but would recommend! Came here with my Dutch family who happen to be mixed race. First they refused to sit us at any nicer tables in the sun despite asking and wanted us to sit all the way at the back in a dark corner. Once we sat they paid no attention to us and didn’t provide any service. We left thirsty and hungry after 30 minutes. Meanwhile other customers that came at the same time as us, and were white, were served.

This is a lovely place for a lunch break in combination with a hike in the dunes or over the beach. Also easy to reach whilst cycling but not a good idea to come by car on a busy day as there are limited parking places and those are also used by visitors to the nearest beach access point despite it being 2km away.

I had dinner here, the place was fully packed with people, but it was really cozy. The staff is really friendly, and the food was decent. Two things really stood out for me; our waitress (she had the most beautiful smile) and the desert. It was raspberry ice cream coated in white chocolate. The best thing I've ever eaten!
