They have now reopened on Mondays. We had lunch. They have lunch specials or you can choose from the menu. All the food was hot and seasoned just right. Waitress was attentive and came by a few times to ask if needed anything and kept our glasses full. The pork chops are wonderful, Parmesan chicken, grilled half potato, the sweet tater soufflé is bomb, oh and the fried green maters and fried mushrooms! Last but not least you can’t forget the Monster brownie desert! So much more to list that is good!! My husband and I stopped in here on our way to beach, and let me just say this place is absolutely phenomenal, we've eaten at several places in different parts of the USA, different countries & this place is right up there with the best, Beth our waitress was superb, her & her husband own this place & he came over & chatted with us a bit, hope they have great success, because their hard work sure showed in the meal we experienced! The steak was cooked to my husband's high standards, crab cakes & even the sides were perfect, let's talk about the fried cheesecake wow! And the fried mushrooms, if you get a chance give them a try! Our family ate at the neighborhood grill for the first time and it was wonderful. The service, the food, and the atmosphere was great. The owner and chef even stopped by and said hello, very gracious. We had 3 appetizers ( fried pickles, loaded fries, and onion petals) all 3 were fresh, hot and very tasty. We tried a variety of entrees including the shrimp basket, the club, chicken Parmesan, fried chicken sandwich, and chicken Alfredo. All six of us loved everything we ordered. Finished the meal sharing a crème brûlée and monster brownie and both were delicious. If you have a chance support this great local spot. This is my first time eating anything from this restaurant, I ordered take out and it was not a great first impression. I ordered a pan seared garlic Parmesan red snapper and when I opened the plate my fish was covered in a big chunk of Parmesan cheese that I had to scrape off. The fish itself was not seasoned at all and was very bland!! The Cajun rice had no seasonings but had black pepper that was visible as well as the steamed broccoli. Enthusiastic and prompt staff and service. We were greeted and treated like regulars. One of the best hamburgers I have had at a good price. Fried mushrooms were great. Highly recommend eating here. We were passing through Clanton on I-65 from B'ham on our way home and my wife found this restaurant on the web. Wanting something different we thought we would try here. Glad we did. Omg we loved this place! Our first time but we will definitely be back! I had the meat and 3...chopped steak. It was delicious! My friend had fried shrimp and loved it. Neighborhood Grill was good. I had the grilled buffalo wrap with fries and a sweet tea. The chicken was very tasty and the sweet tea was sweet!! Service was fast, polite, and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere and food. Fried shrimp was excellent. Also enjoyed the fresh Pico de gallo and chicken quesadilla. The Creme brulee was to die for and the Brownie Monster was divine! Also loved the iced tea.... some places don't get this right... but they do. They also get an A+ on presentation, cleanliness and friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Definitely recommend. All in the sweet little town of Clanton!!
