Outstanding service! The food is absolutely delicious! Best burgers and beer that won't disappoint. You will come back for more. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This place is really, really busy! That may account for the poor service and the amount of time we had to wait for our food. Maybe they need more staff?! We ordered food and was sent a text message that our food wouldn't be ready for over an hour. We pulled into the curb side pick up space at the time of pick up, and parked, phoned in to let them know we were there. We were greeted kindly and told that they'd be out shortly. Ten minutes went by, then 15 minutes, 20 minutes and finally we went in to get our food. We were told it would be right out, after an apology for the wait. Again we waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes and finally after 15 minutes our food came out. It was cold, like it had been waiting to be picked up by the employee to be delivered to us. Cold grilled cheese, onion rings, fries, fried mushrooms and hamburger would've been really good had it been hot or even warm. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
I was staying at a local hotel and walked over here. I walked inside and sat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the bartender and asked about the food. She recommended a great burger. I substituted the sweet potato fries and it was a wise choice. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was good. I would eat here again. Only restaurant I’ve been to where I felt genuinely disgusting afterwards to a point where I washed out my mouth when home. Service was decently slow which I can understand if they are understaffed or busy so not an issue for me. However, the food tasted like it was reheated after sitting out for a week, extremely oily (and Im fine with greasy) to where it felt like everything was sitting out in cold, dirty, old oil on your plate. I like these types of restaurants and have been to numerous and liked them before moving to Hattiesburg, but this was absolutely foul. Genuinely surprised at the decent ratings here, went in optimistic, but by the end the my whole group was disgusted and felt sick with almost every food item and appetizer we got. Image attached for the worst offender of our table got. Stale 4-5 inches of bread, bland and dry, yet still having a cold oil tasting Mac and cheese on the “burger”, tiny and honestly foul tasting patty. Person who ordered it likes these types of things but had the same feelings as me, my food I was at least able to get down, although not great. Their appetizers especially their fried pickles almost made me throw up (and again I love pickles and fried pickles), it’s just the constant taste of being saturated in cold, dirty, old oil on almost everything. Awesome! Mallory J was our server & she is phenomenal! Very patient, good vibes, attentive, nice, etc. Burgers were delicious & came out quick, big & plump. Picture speaks for itself. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Burgers
Service was excellent, Food was good. We enjoyed the creative burger selection. The southwest egg rolls were really good too. Bathroom was a gross mess though. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Hattiesburg, Mississippi is known as the home of Southern Miss University and if you visit here for college- related purposes or if you happen to be a student, you will need to take time out for food and drink. If you like a restaurant without any surprises and that caters to the sports lover in most of us, a good choice is Mugshots. Large in size, Mugshots is an American bar and grill serving assorted burgers, salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, hot dogs, and the like. The food is mostly the standard pub fare and most anyone with American blood running through their veins will find something the like. They have a full bar and a respectable beer selection, too. Mugshots features tables and booths for seating, plus bar seating. The layout is one large room, and it can get rather noisy when filled up. You are within view of a large or small screen television pretty much anyplace you choose to sit, so it’s a good choice when you want to kick back with an all- American meal, your favorite beer or cocktail, and take in the latest sports matchup. Most of the burgers and sandwiches are served with beer battered fries and several of the burgers/sandwiches are quite large. If you’re exceptionally hungry or plan to stay for a while, I recommend either queso or pickle chips as your before meal appetizer. Then, for the main course, I like the patty melt or one of the different Philly cheesesteaks. Washed down with your favorite beer, you are certain to leave feeling full. No matter which food you choose, you should find it agreeable and satisfying. College towns always have a good number of restaurants. Mugshots is a good choice when you want to watch televised sports, munch on bar food, and sip on a drink or two. The food isn’t extraordinary, but it is good and combined with the sports- centric atmosphere, Mugshots is a good place for a hearty lunch or dinner. The service was great! I ordered the Texas style burger. It was a little dry/overcooked and could have used some more seasoning. The fries were off the chart good! They had a decent draft selection, and the place had the most TVs I've seen in a restaurant. Probably a great place to watch a football game. I'd go back. I was very excited to try the burger here because I had heard that they had good burgers but it didn’t turn out to meet my expectation. The burger was huge and so filling which is a good thing I think. The burger bun was sweet and tasted yum. But I didn’t like how the burger tasted. It was so plain with no flavors. I loved the sides though. The onion rings and potato fries was delicious. Fresh grilled vegetables was awesome. I loved the service there. The servers were very welcoming and friendly. They checked to see if everything was going good several times. The place was spacious and good. It wasn’t that busy when we were there but it looked like it would get busier during evening time. Had a good experience overall. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30
