After seeing Gene Leahy Mall, it may be a good idea to visit this bar. Good prawns, fried chicken and boudin balls are the best dishes. Come here and try tasty bread pudding and good ice cream. You will be offered delicious beer. The cosy atmosphere of Mouth of the South - Old Market makes visitors feel relaxed and have a nice time. The terrific staff demonstrates a high level of hospitality at this place. Cool service is something that guests highlight in their reviews. Based on the guests' opinions, prices are fair. The spectacular decor will satisfy the taste of every guest. Google users awarded this spot 4.3.

Great location and atmosphere. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the encrusted red snapper. The service was great and they have some unique drinks. We had a wait for our food because the chef was not happy with the way the crust turned out the first time. That level of preparation is awesome. Went to Mouth of the South on recommendation. Did not disappoint. I ordered the Kickin' Chicken and added shrimp (9/10) very good. Also had the nachos as appetizers (7/10). The kids hamburger is a large burger, so lots of leftovers. I did feel the wait staff was a little impatient with us (but the service was attentive) ,probably won't take children again. Wow took my wife here on a whim and a few minutes in I was blown away. Both with the meals I saw other people get and with my appetizer. The Boudin Balls were just amazing! Up next is the tour of New Orleans and the chicken-fried steak. So good and fresh! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love these old town settings. Burger was great, onion rings just about great, need maybe 5 more minutes in the fryer. Overall I recommend Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Wings
Phenomenal food and outstanding service! The boudin balls were fabulous as an appetizer. The jambalaya, chicken fried Chicken, and meatloaf were all seasoned and cooked perfectly. The smokepit sandwich and homemade onion rings were on point and our waitress was super sweet. The bread pudding for dessert was the cherry on top. Highly recommend 👌 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Had a wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch first visit ever. Love the live music with lunch the food was delicious and staff were amazing. If you are ever in the old market stop in you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait till I visit again. Jerry Forney was playing music at the restaurant which took it over the top. I love having live music playing while eating it just bring a wonderful atmosphere to the place. I hope they do this often because I will definitely be there and bring my extended family and friends. The staff was so awesome with keeping drink coming etc. please take the time to stop and eat or have a drink there. Upside: This place is hands up great! The food is so delicious, kudos to the chef! Every area of the restaurant is set up beautifully! It is clean and well kept! So why am I rating them one star? Downside: I had to ask my partner to finish my food, I lost my appetite. He has high tolerance to body odor, I DON'T. Our server, who's name starts with "Z" needs to consider a shower and deodorant!!! The smell is sickening! I have to turn away every time our server approaches our table! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
The food was very good. I had the Jambalaya and added blackened chicken to it. Large portions. My daughter had the Chicken & Biscuits. She also added some fries. She enjoyed both. I had some of the fries and they were delicious. We went on a Sunday. They had live music which was a nice touch. It was a little loud. It made talking at the table difficult but other than that a good choice. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place is AMAZING! We ordered the Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and the Kickin' Chicken Pasta. We have never tasted better. The sauces we're rich and delicious. The food was served hot and quickly. The Crab Dip appetizer was unbelievable! The bartender made a perfect Old Fashioned and Lemon Drop Martini. The Old Fashioned was so good, I gave the special Toasted Pecan & Peach Old Fashioned a chance . . . REMARKABLE! Don't waste a night at another restaurant wondering if the food is going to be good. Mouth of the South is a sure bet. Must see for Omaha! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
