Arrived for a date on Friday night. We made our reservation through Google. Everything was simple and easy to use. Unfortunately the table that was reserved for us was not readily available, on arrival. However, the manager was awesome and flexible, as he quickly found us another table in the nearby room. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was prompt and efficient. This will definitely be our continual dating spot. Thank you guys for an amazing evening. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We hosted a surprise birthday party at Moonstones earlier this month and were completely wowed by everything. Working with Justin to coordinate details for weeks ahead was easy and flexible. He answered all my questions and accommodated a time shift when a conflict arose, and even let me set up a photo booth. Our server, Riley, was attentive and fun, caring for our 25 guests in their private and perfectly-sized party room right off the entrance. The food and beverages were incredible, everything was hot and fresh, with multiple vegetarian options. The guest of honor stated the seafood tower was the best she ever had! Thank you to the team at Moonstones for providing an exceptional experience, we will definitely be back (especially for the pickle brine martini)! Moonstones is such an unexpected gem - it’s at this intersection in a small town next to a gas station, and yet - phenomenal! Truly a varied and cohesive dining experience. Everything is so good, with each detail thoughtfully chosen. The lamb was spectacular: perfect crust, warm pink middle, expertly seasoned. The vegetarian fried rice was fluffy, moist, and super umami. The crispy bits made me want to order a second helping and eat until I exploded. The fact that they also supply high-quality seafood and balanced, original cocktails is just the icing on the cake. Good on food and service but can we get hot water in the bathrooms and a little less background music? This contributes to poor atmosphere hence the 3 stars. I would like to know my server’s hands have the benefit of hot water as they’re constantly picking up my water glass. Please fix! Thanks. Update: of COURSE I ran the water. And I would never expect the server to answer for building issues hence the review. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Grilled Filet Mignon
Had such a beautiful romantic dinner date. Firstly, reserving a table here via Google assistant was extremely easy and hassle free. So the moment we walked in on Thanksgiving eve, we instantly got our table. Once seated, we were completely blown away by the decor of the place. Absolutely aesthetic lighting with real candles on every table! Then starting off with the cocktails, we were not very sure how the moonhattan would taste like, so our server (I'm blanking on her name at this moment, but she was terrific, so if she gets to read this review somehow she'll know and I wanna give her a shout-out) was very kind to give us some cherries for tasting, as she said that would be mostly how the cocktail would taste like. Following the tasting, I went ahead with Barr hills bees' knees, because what can go wrong with Vermont made gin, local honey and lemon? And I absolutely loved it! My bf took the tao and zen, and said the drink grew on him! Coming to apps, we took tempura shrimp, and it was one of the most moist and tastiest shrimp we've had! For main course, we took the mushroom risotto with seared salmon and yummm, it was so good! The combination of truffle butter with arborio rice, parm crema, mushroom, and salmon gave us a foodgasm moment right there! We also took the faroe Island salmon, and while it was slightly oversalted, it was tasty! We finally took the dessert special which was apple custard, and loved that as well. The service was efficient and very warm! We ended up spending over 2h here, enjoying our meal and ambience, and taking pictures! Although pricey (with taxes and tips, averages $150 for 2 people with drinks, apps, entres, desserts), this place is a goldmine for celebratory or romantic dinners or for other special occasions. PS: 1. the location was great too (right off the exit of I-495 in Chelmsford) 2. The restrooms were fancy and extremely well maintained Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Mixed Mushroom Risotto

Really disappointed in this visit given the history of Cobblestones and Stones Social having been a staple in communities. Upon entering with my wife, two servers at the host stand were trying to figure out where to put us stating “Table 3 just got sat, table for is open.” Moments after that the other server who had the middle section said she has open table but only for (4) tops. This lead to us waiting for an unnecessary amount of time due to one of the servers just not wanting (2) guests at a (4) top. Instead the server with the empty section said can you handle being double sat? That is not a way to run a the host stand at all and it soured our experience. Shaughnessy, our server, was incredibly nice and accommodating but this lack of oversight resulted in extremely long waiting periods when we weee sat for a restaurant that was not even busy. Upon ordering a bottle of Dr. Loosen, the server also asked me what that was. No problem, I told her it was Riesling. But after that I got brought a glass that had glue and old reminisce of bar dirtiness on that. I was shocked. I hope Scott and Kathy hold the management accountable for the poor display/training of their employees. Also listed on the menu for the burger was “thick cut bacon” which was just regular bacon. I didn’t even want to have dessert because I was so upset with the lack of details. After being a General Manager in restaurants and a sommelier, I do not recommend this specific location at all. Recently moved to Chelmsford so I’ve been trying to get out to all the spots. The food was really good and I loved the whole atmosphere inside. The service was great and our server was friendly. Definitely recommend checking out their brunch, i think I’m going back next Sunday! Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It took WAY too long for us to finally end up eating here! Everything about this restaurant is 5/5 - the food, service, atmosphere. We have always been hesitant to eat here because of the model they have (update your signs outside haha). But we were SO pleased with our experience for our first visit. The waiters were very personable, attentive, and made the experience very pleasing. I know some negative reviews are due to the atmosphere. It is dark inside the restaurant but it fits the mood perfectly. The food was excellent! Portion sizes were perfect and the menu had a great variety. We will definitely be back! Good atmosphere, our waitress was kind and help us select the right food from the menu. The portions were on the small side especially the appetizers. The food overall good but nothing special. The rice on the ravioli could have been better. Beef short rib the best flavor off the night. We had tasted calamari, beef ravioli, mushroom burger and fried eggplant/tofu platter.
The restaurant has a very nice and cozy environment. The waiters are very friendly and the food is great! I think their mushroom risotto was excellent! They have variety of small plates - all of which are really nice! I think the steamed dumplings and hot Korean wings are the best! If you are looking to go out, have some nice cocktails and food, Moonstones would be a great choice!
