Ordered the Teri Mix - mini. My experience was pretty chill, background music was cool, people could talk without feeling like you had to talk over people, food was a standard quality. When I say standard, that's not a bad thing, unless you don't know what you're doing it's pretty hard to mess up Hawaiian BBQ. 😋 Absolutely no complaint with portion size or price. Terrible service and policies. I canceled my order and will not be placing any more because of it. It makes no sense that the ohana family meals only come with one choice of meat and you cannot substitute half. Very simple math and there is no pricing issue. 12 pieces of chicken or 36 ounces of pork, to split that would be 6 pieces of chicken and 18 ounces of pork. My son and I always share a 3 meat plate and have SO MUCH LEFT OVER! enough deliciousness for 2 full meals. Always quick and friendly service. I normally have a pretty good experience at this location. The service is good, but tonight the guava cake was SO dry!! I was so disappointed. The whipped topping had solidified. Especially after my total came to nearly 16 bucks. The first time I had this cake, it was so moist and fresh. They also forgot the extra teriyaki sauce that I paid for. I didn’t get my receipt. This location used to be so good (I previously left a review for 5 stars) but it has gone down hill. The last couple times they have been so skimpy on the meat, it’s ridiculous. And most of the pork is fatty goo. And they just discontinued Mobettahs sauce. They’ve lost our business. Such a shame I used to love Mobettahs. But I can’t eat it without the o.g. sauce. We love this place. They are so accommodating to what we want. And I haven’t tried a meat option I didn’t like. There’s just SO much delicious food! My fave is the Katsu Chicken (like a fried chicken) dipped in the teriyaki sauce. And then mix the sauce in with your rice, mac salad, and cabbage. So goooood! They have been so accommodating with COVID regulations. So glad they’re still going strong. It’s a regular spot for us. And every time my dad comes into town, it’s stop #1!
