We got chicken vindaloo and butter chicken and it was like a hug in a bowl, so savory and comforting. The meat was so tender and soft and the spices were amazing, I don’t know a lot about Indian food but I can tell when spices are high quality and fresh. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly and so fragrant. A Salem gem, don’t think twice about coming here

UPDATE 02/17/24: Went back here after several months to try again. Service, food, everything was the same or better. This is the defacto Indian restaurant in the Salem area. If you like Indian and haven't gone here? Go here. And get the Chicken Korma - it's criminal! 👏👏👏 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Significant other had heard of this place recently opening through pictures posted on social media .. so naturally as lovers of Indian food, decided to make it downtown in Salem to try! We were not disappointed.
The location is in High Street in the old Love Love Teriyaki building, and virtually has the same layout but updated to match the theme. We ordered the Paneer Pakora, Vegetable Korma, Butter Chicken with a Mango and Strawberry Lassi.
First off - if you've read my reviews and seen how I've talked about Masala Bites down in Dallas? Mint Leaf is what Salem needed to compare to Masala. Food was delivered in the appropriate order (small plate then entrees) and was fully served in under 15 minutes.
Presentation was exceptional, freshness of food was exceptional, and god damn if that Butter Chicken is the most amazing dish I've had from any Indian Restaurant ever. Legitimately blew me away!
All in all, this was an extremely enjoyable experience, we will 100% come again and frequent Mint Leaf as the defacto Indian Restaurant in Salem/Keizer.
If you like Indian - you need to try them ASAP. I promise you won't be disappointed!

If I had a headline for this restaurant it would be: Salem’s Best Hidden Gem!
I took my mother to dinner tonight walking in there was no frills but damn was the food incredible. It was homestyle cooking at its finest. I have lived all over the country this might be the best Indian Food I’ve ever had!
The service was great. Our server was kind attentive and thoughtful. The food came out fast and hot. We ordered a lot of food admittedly for 2 people but it may have taken 20 minutes to get it all to our table.
We ordered( Lamb Saag, Fish Tandori, Garlic Naan, Chicken Samosa, they offered complementary dessert which was a Sweet Bread Ball(Sorry I don’t know how to spell it!)
Overall: If you want great food I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Food is always delicious, everytime we leave we are excited to go back! We went today and their chicken Tikka Masala is amazing, the roti is the best out of the flat breads, and killer crispy chicken wings! Leftovers so good, they can be eaten cold.

This place is great! They accommodated me with chicken biryani since I couldn't order it online and there was a price difference, but they did it for me anyway as a one time courtesy! Thank you so much!!
