We just moved to the area and, having read good reviews, had to give Meze a try. I was kind of surprised when we asked our server for recommendations that she only talked about what was popular and didn't act like she had tried any of the meals. Otherwise, she was friendly and paid us appropriate attention, given that it always that she was covering the entire dining room by herself. Our first experience was pretty good. We had the falafel as our appitizer, and it was good. I had the lentil soup, which was ok. My wife had the chicken schwarma, and I had the Ottoman platter so that I could try multiple dishes. We both really liked the chicken schwarma, and I thought that the kotfe kebap was probably my second favorite. The rice is also very good, but the serving size was disappointingly small. The Tahini was bland. Went home to find my cookbook that has a great recipe for Tahini to make sure my taste buds were still working. What is Shawarma?
