À propos
If hungry, come here for tasty muffins and good ice cream. At this fast food, clients may order good iced coffee or good lemonade. Visitors don't highly appreciate double cheeseburgers at McDonald's. The cheerful staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. A lot of reviewers find that the service is satisfying. From the guests' point of view, the real drawback is moderate prices. When you enter this place, you feel the comfortable atmosphere. But this place hasn't received a high rating from Google users.

Nice surprise...my filet was perfect, fresh bun, the right amount of tartar sauce, HOT fries. My husband said the spicy chicken was excellent. The service was great, also..prompt with a smile. Nothing like Belfast where the soda machine doesnt work half the time and you have to beg someone to wait on you. Service Take out Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
This McDonald's was very clean. Someone came over to take our order right away and then they brought it over to us. Even the bathroom was very clean. Everything in the order was done exactly how we wanted at any other McDonald's my meal is usually messed up but not at this one. Every one is friendly and tells us about specials going on. TLDR: Hit or miss experiences, missing food, questionable health risks, and helpful staff. We recently visited the Old Town McDonald’s (OTMCD), and this visit was less than satisfactory. Here at Maine Reviewz, we understand that we have to set the bar low for fast food establishments. However, we expect to receive what we pay for, literally, and to not get sick from it. Four stars were awarded for the customer service and inconsistent great food. Despite a negative visit, I’ve certainly had worse from McDonald’s and these employees truly deserve a pat on the back for what they accomplish here. The OTMCD, in our opinion, is the best location between Bangor and Old Town. The staff are generally more friendlier, helpful, and they keep a happy demeanor. If they hate their jobs, I wouldn’t know. This location usually has a clean appearance and the modern, renovated building helps with that. That being said, every visit is a hit or miss. I find that the food quality completely drops whenever there’s a typical breakfast, lunch, or dinner rush, which leads me to go there when they first open or late at night. The customer service and attitude usually stay pleasant regardless of rush. When the food is good, it’s fantastic. I’ve had fresh, hot breakfast sandwiches that are visually appealing and aren’t thrown together. After dinner rushes, I’ve had burgers that are prepared well, crispy nuggets, and fresh fries. When the staff are able to work without stress, the OTMCD food quality rocks! However, when it rains, it pours. On our last visit, during a rush (I should’ve known), I stood inside and waited an unusual amount of time for our order, approximately fifteen minutes. Numerous people received their orders before I did. They put my food bag on the counter, but not a cup for a meal. I had to stand and wait another few minutes to ask someone for a cup. During the second wait, I observed the large fry sitting sideways and it had already started dumping fries into the bottom of the bag and onto the food. Upon returning home, I realized that one of our burgers only had top buns (not mad, just an odd note) and we were missing another burger all together. We must admit, we had a larger order. One Big Mac meal, 4 McDoubles, and 2 hamburgers. Though, for spending $30+ on McDonald’s and waiting for a notable amount of time, I wish I had received everything I paid for. On a side note, I stopped ordering quarter pounders shortly after they started making them fresh. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve always gotten a pink quarter pounder at this location regardless if I ask for it to be cooked longer or not. I’ve never been violently ill from it, but others may not share my luck. The 1/8lb patties are fully cooked; and a McDouble is essentially a bare-bones quarter pounder for half the cost. On a more serious note, upon receiving our cup and attempting to fill it, we observed the two tanks for tea open and not tended to. It looked as if someone had refilled the sweet and unsweet tea tanks and failed to put the tank lids back on. There was nothing stopping a fly from landing in the product, let alone someone dipping their cup in it, dipping their fingers in, or potentially contaminating the teas with another food or substance. I’ll chalk that up to getting busy during a rush and forgetting about it, but that doesn’t take away the “what-ifs,” nor the gross factor. Overall, the OTMCD is the better location in the area. When you go at a time without a rush, expect a good experience with fresh food and getting everything that you spent your hard-earned money on. Simply avoid this location during rush hours unless you don’t have any expectations. The workers here work hard, and they exemplify in keeping morale high. At the end of the day, it’s fast food - it is what it is. Overall, keep up the good work! Best regards, M.R. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
They do pretty well most days, but lately, they have been giving me my breakfast order.. and I always get rhe 2 for 3$ hash browns, and they don't put the hash browns in my to go bag in drive thru. I have gotten my syrup for my big breakfast with hotcakes overlooked many times also. But breakfast and dinner times are pretty heavy which I understand, but at least double maybe even triple check bags before you send em out the window?? Will reside in less unhappy consumers. They got my order wrong not once, not twice, but three timed in the same visit. I never did get the correct order, I just gave up trying to have them make it right!
It's nice to see a fast-food restaurant that still understands consistent good food and consistent good service brings people back. As with any place that's this busy, they aren't always perfect but are quick to fix a mistake. The food quality is always fresh and hot no matter when I've been there. So yeah, this is a good McDonald's. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Fries
It seems like everytime I got through drive-through and it's within an hour of closing, these guys ice cream machine is always "service is down"... I understand that I takes a little bit to clean the machine but I'm not the only one that has said this. And it's not only this McDonald's, the one in old Town does it too. I recently took my family here to get some food. I went in and started to order, the guy was very rude and told me I have to call and place my order. You can’t just walk in and order!? Since when?? I thought this was a fast food restaurant. After a long wait when I finally got my food it seemed old. The burgers were dry no ketchup, no onions and no pickles. The nuggets were very hard to the point where my son couldn’t even eat them. My family was very disappointed, I would not recommend this place at all. With it being 91° & 95% humidity, my wife and I stopped to get a beverage and cool down so we stopped at McDonald's. After some debate we decided to stay in the car and go through drive thru . It was a little busy, but they addressed our requests in good time. We received our order and was glad the beverages were not watered down. There is a drink syrup to carbon ratio not everyone does. Not enough syrup and it tastes like a cheap club soda, and too much and you might as well pour it on your pancakes it's so sweet. The staff were great, they were cheerful and upbeat and even through the heat and humidity they were attentive to our requests. There appearances were professional. They should take the employees in the Old Town, Maine restaurant to train other McDonald's restaurants in their area, who are severely lacking in all areas mentioned based on prior experiences.
