Still the same after all these years. And thats a great thing. If you're looking for a quick bite, and maybe something to drink, stop in. The food was excellent and the service was on point. It had been way too long since I've been here.....I won't wait that long again. I forgot how good Mattingly's is. Loved our waitress most of all. Loved her sass & personality and easy ability to associate and relate to all three personalities at our table. We meet regularly but this was my first visit, not my friends 1st visit. Food wasn't great, it was of a fast food variety but because I enjoyed my company, atmosphere and our jovial waitress, I will be going back. It was a good 👍😊 day. Mattingly's is a nice little restaurant with a with a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and appetizers. I had a bowl of French onion soup and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. Both were delicious and filling. The decor is typical dive restaurant style but is a pleasant atmosphere if you like that type of thing. The service was good considering we had a party of 20 people. I ordered the combo player chicken tasted like freezer burn, the food was cold and alcoholic beverage was too strong, didn't taste like it should have. Arrived soon after opening and place was cold. Coffee was very weak (but the server was helpful by making a new pot using more coffee). The previous visit this was not a problem, and the server mentioned that she was taking the machine off for service. I ordered a specific tequila when the server brought my drink it wasn't what I asked for. I was a cheaper brand, but I was charged for the more expensive tequila like I wouldn't know the difference. When I asked the bartender for the tequila, she said she didn't even know why he would charge me for it because they didn't even carry it. I'm ok with changing what I drink. Just give me the option to decide for myself and not try to take advantage of people. The amount of food that we got for the price was good. Service was extremely slow. When we got there they said it was a 45 minute wait on food. It did take at least that amount of time for most of us but one person in our group didn't get her food about 15 minutes after the rest of us. I have passed Mattingly's many times and never stopped in. This was my first time having lunch there. There are some negative reviews, but I did not see or experience anything negative during my visit. The food and service were great. Some people have mentioned this place was a good value. I agree, the prices are reasonable and the portions are fair. The menu is exhaustive with something for everyone. This is also a family friendly location. I will come back again. Note... The food was quite the let down, the staff was nice. I ordered them to go. As I was waiting there for my food, a customer came back to return her pizza and cheese fries. The pizza was burned and so was the cheese on the fries. Okay, it happens I get it. I received my order and took it home to eat. I opened the plastic bag and got my food out to discover they forgot my sides and my chicken was also burned. My husband ordered a chicken bacon quesadilla, it was mediocre and nothing to rave about. I called about my smothered chicken being burned and not receiving my sides, they were nice and credited my meal back to me. Go there for drinks, but, do yourself a favor and eat before you get there. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Have not been here in years and was really disappointed. Place was not clean at all. Server was horrible. The appetizers were really good. My burger I had was disgusting my son's Burger same as mine was disgusting. We asked for cheese burgers and had to send them back because they had no cheese. The pizza was nasty. Over all bad experience. I was telling my fiance how good this place was I used to work here 20 years ago I grew up with these people and it was a complete disappointment. Bathroom was horrible looked the same as 20 years ago. Looks like a new sink and the rest has never been upgraded. Hope next time I go back I'll have a better experience.
