This is the best donut place! When we go in the morning the donuts are always fresh. They are so nice and light not too dense. Depending on the type of donut you are getting. If it’s a buttermilk or cake donut they are naturally a bit more dense. But every donut I have had here is great! In my opinion it is the best in all of Sac. I would highly recommend. I've come here my whole life. Their donuts are fabulous (& not overpriced) & they are always friendly & kind. The ONLY reason I ever get donuts anywhere else is because Marie's doesn't have regular donut holes, just the cake donut kind. Still ♡ them! Found a gem right here folks. Just happened upon it my first time/day in Sacramento and had to go back! This time was about an hour earlier than yesterday and there was a line. Service is at an outside window but the staff is friendly and accommodating of special requests. The goods were fantastic! A lady in front of me said Marie's is an "institution" in Sac and I believe it!
