Mediterranean and Persian dishes are on the menu at this restaurant. Come here for perfectly cooked beef kebabs, beef and hummus if you are hungry. The must-order dish is good yogurt. At Maman Joon, you can get a takeout. Gracious employees welcome guests all year round. Prices at this place are worth attention because they're attractive. It's usually good to try something new, enjoying the cozy atmosphere. Google users awarded this spot 4.5.

The quality of the food is very good. The kebab kobedeh is very tasty and the rice is cooked in the best way. The cashier was very polite and friendly. The location of the restroom is inappropriate, and the items are stored very untidy in the corridor. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

For the price there was excellent portions of meat and rice! The man at the front desk was super friendly and the restaurant and sitting area outside were lovely. I mean the food was great, the rice and meat were perfectly seasoned. OH the eggplant dip was absolutely to die for, I’d recommend to anyone, even if you dislike eggplant. My only quarrel which is why I gave 4 stars to the food was the baklava. It was stale, probably left in the plastic box for too long so the philo was no longer crispy. Delicious combo. Tender rice with a hint of butter and saffron. The chicken is juicy and has a little spicy pepper flavor that is unique. The koobideh was delicious and lean. Excellent meal. Service Take out Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great place for Persian food and the owner Alex is very hospitable. Me daughter and I tried lots of dishes featuring chicken, beef & lamb with two rice options. The traditional basmati with saffron & his grandmother’s mixed vegetables rice. We really enjoyed ourselves. We also had two beautiful salads! The fresh bread and yogurt & cucumber sauce was spot on.
It was one of the best Persian restaurants I ever went to and tried in the US. Qhormehsabzi, Gheymeh and Tah dig, Kabab Kobide, and Joje Kabab were so delicious. I will try when I visit DC again. Ordered at the counter around 4pm. The place was empty but clean and modern looking. Food was ready in about 15 minutes. I got away with parking in the CVS (roof lot) because there were no street spots. Food was a little disappointing; beef didn't have a good char on it, flavors were standard for kebab, nothing was particularly outstanding. I wouldn't make a special trip again—it was average kebab in an above-average looking setting. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We tried Maman Joon today. We have been waiting for it to open since the sign went up. What a treat! This Persian restaurant is the real thing. . They have the usual Kabobs but better than most I have tasted. My SIL is persian so I have tried many Persian dishes. They are proud of the fact that most everything is made in house. The owners couldn't have been nicer, friendlier, and more attentive. They let us try several things in addition to what we had ordered and refused to let us pay. The kubideh kabob was flavorful and juicy. Not dried out like a popular Kabob place. I loved their Gormeh Sabzi ( a Persian stew) made with beef and lots of herbs. The entrees come with a generous portion of rice or salad or both and bread. They will be adding to the menu as they move forward. We will definitely make this one of our regulars!
I had an amazing dining experience at joon, the decor was beautiful the atmosphere was electric Quinn the mixologist made me and my guest some exotic drinks that where outstanding, and then the food came out we had joon kabob platter that’s was absolutely delicious!!! Can’t wait to visit again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Maman Joon has the BEST Persian food in the DMV! I love how they offer vegetarian alternatives to my favorite dishes. The service is great and food is so delicious. It’s a wonderful casual spot to dine-in or take-out! Highly recommend Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
The chicken and kobeedeh kabob were delicious and I would give them a 5 star. Mr. Saeed assuming the owner was a nice and kind person. Because the food preparation took a little long, he gave us some free side dishes. Generally, I am happy that this restaurant was opend in DC and will go there again.
