Ordered Chicken Parm entree. Huge portion, crunchy on the edges and tender in the middle. Really flavorful sauce. House made pasta served al-dente. server was friendly and attentive. Very Satisfied. I ordered takeout. The food was ok. But I was charged a little over 25 dollars for my takeout meal while I was there. When I checked my account in the morning I was charged a little over 30. I’m assuming they added a 5 dollar tip on their own. Which is foul to me. Firstly, the meal I ordered was incomplete. I ordered Salmon with vegetables and potatoes, when I left I had no potatoes. Secondly, I don’t tip on takeout unless I have some kind of nice interaction with the host or salesperson. And lastly, they didn’t have utensils for takeout. Which wasn’t a big deal to me, I had to get my utensils from McDonalds. Maybe I’m not the type of customer they value so I won’t be coming back. So delicious!!! Really close by to Turtleback Zoo, stop by here for lunch or dinner instead of fast food - you won't be disappointed. We split the calamari as an appetizer and it was so fresh and well prepared. The lobster roll was fabulous too, stuffed with tender lobster meat in a perfectly grilled roll. First, my husband asked for olive oil to dip his bread in and the waitress said she couldn’t give him any olive oil because it’s too expensive. The waitress didn’t even offer to allow us to buy the olive oil for an up charge. Next, I ordered Carbonara and the dish came out with no guanciale (pancetta); only two small pieces on top. I asked the waitress why there was no meat and she said she would get the kitchen to add some. She brought my dish back with no meat and said the kitchen was frying some guanciale that I could add into my dish. Meanwhile my dish is getting cold and the waiter brings out these measly pieces of fried bacon for me to dump on top of my dish. Very disappointing! Would not recommend. In response to the owner’s response below: I don’t care if the bread is FREE! The waitress didn’t even offer us the olive oil for an up charge, which we would have paid. Regarding the Bucatini Carbonara, the menu stated “guanciale”; NOT “guanciale oil”. See photo of menu. Therefore, one would assume that guanciale is in fact an ingredient and not a garnish. My husband and I sort of stumbled upon this place. Can’t believe that we’ve driven past the location so many times and never noticed it. Food, drinks and service were great! If I had to give a critique, it would be the music. Not looking for anything crazy. Just more variety. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Absolutely outstanding!! As a life long Essex County guy I will say the pizza is just great. Sicilian eggplant outrageous. Burrata/eggplant caponata appetizer is a must have. Live entertainment tonight (Friday) made night even better. Tony, the owner, was on the dining floor ensuring everything was perfect!! Mama Dags is a 100% go to!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
I have been coming here consistently since it opened. My favs are the Caesar salad (the dressing is amazing), Funghi Pizza and the Scallops with Risotto. I had to update to include the beet salad (may be seasonal) was also perfection! The outdoor seating is fantastic and they have a full bar. Service was great as always. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

I had a fantastic experience here with my family today. We came here after a trip to Turtleback Zoo down the street, and were pleasantly surprised by the food here. We ended up getting the Spaghetti Polpetto (meatball), the carbonara, and a child's portion of the penne with marinara. Everything came out so well done. The noodles appear to be made in house, and were delicious across all plates. The meatballs were *gigantic*. Service was great and attentive and the restaurant as a whole was very family-friendly. I would definitely recommend, and I look forward to coming back again to try out the seafood dishes! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

I usually like a small menu but this menu didn’t have much selection from its small menu. They’re probably more known for their seafood dishes. I wasn’t a fan of the margarita pizza, penne with red sauce or spaghetti with red sauce. In my opinion, the pizza was too thick and the crust too hard. I did, however, enjoy the mixed greens salad, calamari, and my ginger ale and the ginger ale tasted like ginger instead of your usual Seagram’s. The calamari was delicious. Just the right balance of fried batter and calamari that you can actually taste the calamari. I wanted to try the gelato as it was only available in 3 flavors but they only had vanilla bean available at the time. Therefore, I was unable to try since I wanted to order the chocolate and espresso gelato as well. Perhaps I ordered the wrong things as I’m not a local in this area, but other peoples dishes looked delicious and amazing.
