The bar at the back of the Cafe is the place to be! We’ve been several times now and every time our favorite gal Nancy is behind the bar always happy to see us (everyone). She’s always so nice and accommodating especially when we bring our friends with small kids. The service is always great. The only pic I have is my to go slice of the famous Pink Champagne Cake which is a MUST HAVE when there. It’s my fav place to take out of towners. We will be back. Loved this gem! The cake is a must! Have the champagne cake, delicious and not overly sweet! The cake is perfect! The service was amazing. Such friendly kind wait staff. We had breakfast, food was tasty and very well made. Try a biscuit with butter and jelly! Overall it was such a great experience and the place is adorable. Def a must if you’re in the area. A feast for eyes and your stomach. I've come here many times through the years and I always enjoy my time. I stop by every few years when driving through SLO and everyone I've taken has been amused. This time we were able to book a reservation an hour and a half before arrival. It was an hour wait if we hadn't. My bf got the tri tip plate and it had a good portion serving. My friend and I shared the chicken salad which I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. The cashews were a good addition. The portions are very large. I also purchased a few chocolates and each were fantastic. Don't forget to walk around the property and take in all the scenery. I still have the cake on my two eat list. Not visually appealing like the steak house next door, but very good comfort food. Shocking expensive. Slow service. Try the hot turkey sandwich or tuna melt. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Overall a great choice for tasty food. During our 2 meals there, we found wait times once seated to placing orders was casual-slow being passed by our wait person several times. Yet they were all very nice and thorough once the service started . The vent above each place we sat was long overdue for cleaning. Nothing dropped onto our table. The overall superb cleanliness of the Cafe needs the maitence staff to help by cleaning the vents.
