The food was delicious, however, the service was not stellar due to the aloof nature of the waitress. The portion size of the Crab Lumache was very undersized in relation to the price. The gluten free jumbo shrimp was excellent and had larger portions. The raw oysters were very good. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Excellent quality and wide-ranging choice of seafood at this car-accessible location (ample free parking). Being a bit removed from the old center and close to the limited access Rt 6, this location attracts customers from other locations on the Cape as well as day trippers to PTown. We had an 8:15 pm reservation. For most of the dinner we were inundated with loud, raucous noise from a party of at least 20 mature adults/seniors. Being seniors ourselves, my husband and I are neither antisocial nor party-poopers but we do enjoy having a quiet conversation during dinner. My rating of two stars on ‘atmosphere’ reflects ambiance more akin to Madison Square Garden or Yankee Stadium ( go Bombers!) rather than a restaurant. This may not be representative of most diners’ experience here, but being a large location, the seating host could have offered a choice of seating with one option being farther away from the noisy party. That’s a shame because the kitchen prepared first class seafood, and our waiter was friendly and mostly customer focused. There were a few delays in serving. I had a non-gringo spicy swordfish with green curry and rice. Outstanding! My husband had salmon. Very fresh, cooked to perfection and unrestrained spicing. Pricing was fair given the high quality of the fish. There is also a fish market at the same location open during the day. All in all, I recommend that this restaurant, but don’t be shy about wearing your favorite team cap! (It’s not a romantic restaurant) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Fresh Seafood

I had a fantastic dining experience at Mac's Fish House in Provincetown! The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the fresh seafood. The Oysters, Clams, Mussels, and Lobster were all impeccably fresh and delicious, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi offerings, which were equally impressive. The Korean chicken sandwich was a delightful departure from traditional seafood, and its flavors were outstanding. While the dessert options were limited, the flourless chocolate cake was a sweet note to end the meal on. Overall, Mac's Fish House offers a diverse and satisfying seafood experience with exceptional service, making it a must-visit in Provincetown. We had dinner here on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly busy. We were seated with our reservations within 10 minutes. We had already decided that we would have sushi tonight and everyone ordered cocktails, sushi roll and soup. The craft cocktails were good. We tried the miso soup and clam chowder. The flavors were good but I’ll have to admit I like my chowder thicker yet I also understand traditional thin as well. The miso was good too. The sushi rolls were very slow coming out of the kitchen and our server was also slow on keeping our beverages topped off. Bar service seemed slow as well. All in all the restaurant was clean and well kept but the sushi rolls were just average. If we go back I won’t be having the sushi. They also have a fresh fish market which has excellent fresh seafood. This place wowed us. I came thinking I would try a lobster roll since I’d never had one but the menu was so extensive and exciting I didn’t bother with the lobster. I couldn’t decide between 4 options so I let our really great waiter help me pick. My Spicy Ahi Tuna dinner was amazing and so was my daughters build your own fish tacos. Expensive but worth it in my opinion. My mother in law did not appreciate their culinary take on clam chowder but I think that’s because she was looking for a classic, thick and creamy chowder. This place is taking creative license with their dishes so don’t expect classic Americana food. It has a more Asian twist. We ate dinner here, as this was one of the most recommended places I could find in Provincetown. The food certainly did not disappoint. We just went with drinks and apps and everything was fantastic. Unfortunately, the menu online was different than the menu in the restaurant, so there were a few disappointments there, as things have been taken off the menu in the past few weeks. The waitress couldn’t answer simple questions about the menu and items on the menu. However, everything we ordered was delicious and came out perfectly. Definitely recommend dining here, as most of the items have a little spin on the traditional New England seafood which makes it more exciting than some of the other options nearby. Shocked! Absolutely horrified by the terrible service the other night. Despite a reservation got seated next to the bathroom, barely a greeting and then ignored from the moment we sat down. Drink order was wrong and drinks were not good. Had to flag down the waiter 3 times despite him passing by our table numerous times - never once asked if we needed anything. Only gave the second star because the scallops and fried fish were good. Fries are not good and salad is nothing interesting. After recent bad experience at the Chatham location this doesn’t bode well. We actually would have left before ordering because the wait was ridiculous but it was too late to find another place open. There are certainly other restaurants so won’t be going back after years of being loyal Mac’s customers. Wonder if Mac’s Shack Wellfleet will also disappoint…
Had a great time here with family the other day. Thursday nights they have all you can eat fish and chips which we came for. They really hit the mark! The fish was cooked so well and they even had malt vinegar to have with them! The decor is nice inside, the booths are great if you can snag one and it is easy to make a reservation on their website. The starters and main courses came out of the kitchen quickly and we all had a great time. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
