Lumière in Mdina was such a great find! The people running it, especially the owner, were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The food was fantastic – we had the pinza romana for starters and the garganelli beef for the main course. The portions were big, and everything tasted so good that we were too full for dessert. The place was really clean, even the bathrooms. We'll definitely be going back to Lumière for another awesome experience. I highly recommend it for a great time in Mdina!

What a wonderful lunch! The servers were so attentive and helpful - they helped us choose a wonderful bottle of local wine and the mixologist created custom cocktails for us! The food was absolutely delicious, from the bread to the entrees to the dessert. The space is lovely up on the top floor. We just loved this restaurant! Highly recommended!

Had a nice dinner here, and with summer temperatures the location would surely be spectacular. The food was good, but like other reviewers said somewhat overpriced compared to other options in Mdina/Rabat. The presentation of the dishes is also less refined than the pictures on the website make you think.
The 3/5 is for price/quality.

We ate here after a day of touring Malta. It was amazing. The service was great and the food was delicious!!! I definitely suggest the pork belly.

Wow! My friend & I stumbled upon this little jewel boutique hotel, whilst on holiday in Malta visiting Mdina. The staff are amazing, polite & smiley nothing was too much, 1st class service. The owner Omar was delightful & kind enough to personally show us around this beautiful hotel. The rooms were exquisite & incredibly tastefully decorated no expense spared & would be perfectly suited for an intimate romantic get-away or honeymoon. We had cocktails on the roof top terrace. The views are incredible. Although we did not eat there this time, the signature cakes looked absolutely stunning as did the cream teas. We would love to return.

A bit disappointed as the quality of food did not meet my expectations. The place is indeed special (not so much the dining room itself yet the palace and the view from the terrace). Food was not at the level the place deserves and it is overpriced. Research of sophistication in the recipe does not always translate in better taste despite the nice presentation. Probably the French name of the restaurant shall have ringed a bell....Anyhow, good to go probably for a drink on the terrace

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lumiere Restaurant , and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment I stepped through the door.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy yet elegant, with dimmed lighting and soft music playing in the background. It created the perfect atmosphere for a delightful evening.
The menu at Lumiere Restaurant is a masterpiece in itself, offering a diverse range of dishes to cater to all tastes. After much deliberation, I opted for their signature Vegetarian dish, Smoked Aubergine , and I was not disappointed.
The presentation alone was a work of art, and the first bite transported me to a world of flavors I had never experienced before. The combination of ingredients was perfectly balanced, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the dish was evident.

My friends and I were in Malta in June and visited Mdina gate for a day and we were so happy to stumble upon this exclusive gem. The customer service was impeccable, the owner and his wife made us feel so at home and went out of their way to welcome us. My friend brought a fresh croissant and food here and said it was fantastic. I had a strawberry mojito and that was also fantastic. They've built an intimate hotel in a beautiful location. 100% recommend.

It was very lovely evening in Lumiere. Restaurants has only 3 tables and exceptional service, which is rare in Malta. Thanks Sergio (hope I wrote name correctly) who really loves place ! We ordered 3 starters and despite the fact they were small we didn’t leave hungry, because amount of flavors in one dish and presentation were amazing .
