The lemon olive oil cake I ordered for my daughter’s birthday was outstanding and so delicious! Love all the bakery goods at Longbranch, but their cakes surpass all others in the area. The BEST in Carbondale! Outstanding coffee and baked goods...plus SUPER waitstaff. I had coffee of the day and the almond cream scone. AWESOME. PS: I stayed for LUNCH and was glad I did. I’m a big fan of this place. The food is always delicious. I love the healthy options and appreciate never feeling yucky after filling up here. The atmosphere is “it” for me. I also appreciate that it feels like a safe space. My go to is the avocado toast, I appreciate being able to switch the toast out for a gluten free option. I also ordered a slice of gluten free blueberry cheesecake to take home and it was absolutely delicious. The coffee is always 11/10 for me as well, you can taste the quality in everything. How adorable is that heart biscuit!! The stuffed biscuit was absolutely scrumptious. Those potatoes, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Paired with their seasonal drink, a lavender lemon green tea. Perfectly balanced flavors, lavender wasn't super strong, the lemon added a bright refreshing note in a green tea base. Thirst quenching on a hot summer day. Longbranch is a wonderful cafe and bakery specializing in vegetarian dishes and it's fantastic. A delightful diversion from the everyday fare, the cafe offers multiple options in various styles. From breakfast to Asian noodles. From nachos to falafel; they have classic sandwiches and wraps as well as salads. A well rounded menu with something for everyone. Food was great (we had the avocado toast, stuffed biscuit, carrot juice with all the add-ons, and the lemon olive cake). Outdoor seating had a lovely ambiance. Our server Kiersten, was lovely and friendly. We will be back! (Returned to Longbranch this morning after our initial visit ~5 months ago and now that we live in Carbondale -- we enjoyed breakfast & takeout this time! ) Just as pleased, if not more so, with this meal/purchase! Our favorite item was the freshly baked sourdough -- I know 10 dollars for a loaf is steeper than most but it was well worth it and we will surely buy again. Our breakfast of comfort bowl and burrito were both hardy, tasty, and included excellent potatoes. Their soysage is also awesome, order something with it. Finally, the pecan roll was an excellent sweet treat and we can't wait to try more food from Longbranch. We sipped Americanos this time, no complaints there either -- they have a wonderfully wide range of coffee/beverages! P.s. can we talk about the drawing on their brown bags? So far the best food I’ve had anywhere between Murphysboro and Marion! I REALLY hope these matcha cupcakes are around on my next trip to town🤤 Other than the food the server was fantastic and another woman (I presume an owner or something) came to check on us after we ate too. I just felt welcomed and left happy with a full belly. I didn’t remember to take a picture, but don’t pass on the ginger chocolate cookie. It was so good I ordered a second (though we’d have gotten more if it weren’t the last one, same with the cupcake lol) one to go. We will be back every time we’re in town, and thank you! Thanks😁

Went there while my bicycle was being fixed. It was a great choice, the art on the walls made it a very colorful and unique place to relax. The food was really good too. I had quiche which was a special and it came with perfectly cooked asparagus and a very tasty fruit salad. The coffee of the day was good though they only have one option each day. Would go here a lot if I lived close by.
