NJ/NY Native. While they look good they do not compare to the bagels of the now closed bagel only store on Olive. The dough is way too light and airy. NY bagels are more dense and chewy - these have too much air to be considered a NY water bagel. Honestly they are close to the bagels sold at Schucks not the former Bagel Factory which came as close to NY bagels. Tried it twice and my feeling on both visits has been the same. Mediocre at best and if you are looking for a facimile or a NY bagel - this is not the place. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was my first time at Lefty's and I was not disappointed. My loxs and bagels were one of the most delicious sandwiches I have had in years. The staff here is so helpful that they go above and beyond the definition of the job. Leftys also has a very expensive menu that I am going to go back and try a couple of new dishes.
