My wife and I just dined at L'Aberge for a milestone anniversary. We have dined there many times before, and I would rate our prior experiences at 4 to 4.5 stars. This last experience was a 5 star night. The service was not just excellent. It was PERFECT. My wife had the lobster and I had the duck. The lobster is a long running feature at L'Aberge and it was excellent as always. French country duck is not everybody's cup of tea because, properly prepared, it is fatty and a little gamey. L'Aberge executed this iconic traditional dish to perfection. And our sommelier, David, paired our dishes with a perfectly matched Rhone he pulled from the cellar. To be honest, this was a pricey splurge. But for a special occasion, it was worth every penny. Best regards and we will return again soon.
I haven't even finished my meal yet and I felt compelled to write my review early. The food is delicious. There's live acoustic guitar. The staff is amazing, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. This was the perfect night, and I can't wait to come back! First time here, but definitely not the last!
We went for dinner for my birthday. It was the best DC area restaurant we have been to without question. We went to Rooster and Owl a few months ago and it has nothing on taste and portion size compared to Chez. I 100% recommend the dover sole and beef wellington. Come here to enjoy excellent service, intimate ambiance, and delectable food.
I love the atmosphere, service, and food here!!! One of my favorite places. But my wife really did not like the chairs here. They made her very uncomfortable and she told me about it the whole dinner. I think the chairs could be upgraded so that the focus is on everything else that is so great
Cannot speak to the rooms because we only went for dinner, but the food is very good. The menu is prix fixe and has a lot of choices. Try the souffle. Had the Wagu beef appetizer, and the lobster and crab meat entree. Thoroughly enjoyed both.

Went to L’Auberge for the first time after having it on my wish list for a while. The experience was nothing short of amazing. The food, the service, and the ambience were all exceptional. A shoutout to our waiter Samy for welcoming us and making the experience one to remember. This is a special place that deserves all the accolades it receives. Looking forward to coming again soon to sample more of their menu. Every bite was perfect! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Second time this year that we have dined at L'Auberge Chez Francois. The staff was attentive and made your dining experience truly memorable. The food was delicious, and we were not rushed through. Beef cheeks for appetizers, a house salad, Bouillabaise for dinner, and chocolate tarte for dessert.Great cocktails with an impressive wine list. Give this amazing restaurant a try, you'll definitely will want to go back for another meal, I know I will be back soon. The room is welcoming and really really beautiful. The service is very good but not five stars. For instance, they do not fold your napkin when you leave the table as other similarly priced restaurants. The food is just above average. The bread was yummy. The appetizer just okay. The salad was basic and plain. The entree was okay, but nothing memorable. The dessert was not that good, could not finish it because the sauce had such a strong citrus flavor, it was bitter. And the coffee was burned. I have definitely visited better French restaurants in the area. Spent over $400 for two people. Definitely, overpriced. Will not be back.
