It has been several years since we went to this restaurant due to some issues in the past. We have tried it 2 times in the past month. Crystal is an amazing server! We have had her both times. She is attentive and very kind and just about remembered everything we ordered without writing it down. Unfortunately, we just feel the food is mediocre. Actually, it's pretty bland. The salsa tastes like a can of tomato sauce. The chips taste like store bought dollar tortilla chips. And the food has barely any seasoning. I asked for extra Pico de Gallo and it had zero seasoning, lime juice or cilantro. I thought that was essential for Pico?! Kinda tasted old, even. I did try the top shelf margarita and enjoyed that very much, even though it was $22 for a large! They didn't run BOGO specials till later (3-8) We live about 30 min away and I find our local Mexican restaurant 10 times better in flavor! Sorry La Rumba. The food during my lunch was delicious and fresh, the chips, salsa and cheese dip were certainly on point. The server, Monica, (hopefully correct spelling of her name) was pleasant, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the dishes, kept a smile on her face, and came back to the table several times to check and make sure everything was good! What happened to the head waitress/manager who helped establish this business over the past years with dedication and professionalism, the nearly double price increase, and when will someone notice the main draw is the size of the margaritas noted throughout these reviews, on a major highway?
