If hungry, come here for good chimichangas, chili and salsa & chips. As a number of guests say, horchata is really great. Visitors don't like beer at this restaurant. La Frontera is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Most people note that the dishes are offered for affordable prices. There is a cozy atmosphere and modern decor at this place. This spot scored 4.1 in the Google rating system.

La Frontera is an Utah staple for great authentic Mexican cuisine. Every location is a little different. This one is very nice and the food is wonderful, of course. I bring friends to La Frontera for Mexican cuisine cravings that haven’t been and I’ve never heard a complaint. This location is definitely consistent with their menu. I’m a creature of habit and order the same thing at all the locations I believe this one is most consistent chili. Verde has a nice spice to it, but definitely not overpowering. There’s usually a wait at lunchtime, but no more than 10 to 15 minutes. There’s salsa, however, is a tad on the spicy side for my liking usually need to add a bit of sugar. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Chile Verde

We've been coming to this location since they opened years ago. The quality has never changed, and everything is always fresh. Martha and her family take pride in the restaurant and it shows in the customer service and quality of everything! I am a big creature of habit and typically order the same smothered bean and cheese burrito, this week I tried the new al pastor tacos.... I came back a second time this week for these tacos specifically. They're perfectly seasoned and the fresh pineapple adds that special touch to the crispy pork. The customer service is always amazing, and we always leave satisfied. ☺️ Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Smothered Burrito Rice and Beans

You can’t go wrong with La Frontera! There smooth salsa is my absolute favorite! I compare all other Mexican place to here! This location has beer but no other alcohol so no margaritas. I’ve been coming here years, I feel like they no longer cook their own chips which is sad because they were yummy. This location was jam packed when I went so the service was slow and there were a few hiccups so I won’t fully base this review on that visit.
Service and food weren't the best The tacos were extremely bland. No sour cream, pinco, or guacamole. Just lettuce, cheese (way too much), tomato, and chicken. The Burrito had way too cheese. The rice was hard. Our waiter hardly came to our table. Got one of our orders wrong and kept forgetting sides. And didn't fill our drinks up. Wasn't impressed The one in Riverton is WAY better Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
This was our first time and they have made new customers. First of all this place has a drive thru! What!? Yes a drive thru which is super convenient. The staff is super friendly, there is a notice at the front stating they are short staff but it’s the type of world we’re living in. Be patient they are trying their hardest. It was just my husband and I - we like to order different plates so we can have a better sense of the restaurant. We ordered: Complimentary chips and salsa - the salsa had a kick good flavor. Smother Chile verde fries with cheese for appetizer the fries were crispy tender and well done, lots of carne, Chile verde was great. I ordered 3 carne asada flour enchiladas with cheese - yes you read that right - CARNE ASADA - they have carne asada here! Mexican steak came with fries, rice, beans and Flour tortilla. The service was awesome Our waitress Toni was really pleasant and you can tell she really enjoys her job. We will be back! Thank you Toni and staff everything was perfect. Went out tonight with my wife to La Frontera. We've been here a couple of times in the past but thought we'd give it another try. We walked in and they sat us immediately, the guy was very polite. The waitress quickly came out and got our drink order and gave us the chips and salsa. The chips have some kind of chili powder and seasonings on them, had a pretty good flavor. The salsa has a little kick to it. We ate them pretty quick, so the waitress brought us another bowl and basket. I ordered their large combination platter ($11.00) with a bean tostada, cheese enchilada, taco, burrito, chile verde, rice and beans. The burrito, enchilada, tostada, rice and beans were good. The "beef" taco was NOT good ate all. Not sure what was in it (pureed ground beef). Definitely would not get their beef tacos. My wife got their chicken fajitas with 2 soft shell tacos, rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. When they came out they looked really good. Unfortunately they were very bland and didn't really have any flavor or seasonings. She said the guacamole seemed store bought. As you can see in the photos, their sour cream comes in a little squeeze tube. She was not very happy with her meal. The atmosphere was the typical Mexican restaurant with music and decor. The service was great, Letty was very attentive making sure our drinks were topped off and we didn't need anything else. We'll definitely come back, but next time I'm getting their smothered chile verde burritos. You've had them before and they were really good.
