I’ve been going here since they opened up in my community. On a Friday I usually order a large order for my family on my lunch break, pay for it because I work from home and I would pick it up when I get off and I never had an issue but today they are giving me a problem. Why do they make it hard for the customers that spends their hard earned money with these businesses.

Word if mouth is everything. I stopped into Kirk's on a whim & while in line, I met some amazing customers. I asked about the food & they spoke highly about it. Shared with me what they liked & gave me suggestions. The customer service was friendly & impressionable. I purchased the large tips, half pork & half jerk. Great taste, meaty, tender, love it. Also, I was given a sample of the turkey tips. Will be getting them next time. Pricing is reasonable for the amount of food I received. The wait time is worth the food. There's a Walgreens right on the corner to pass time. Kudos to the owners of this Black Owned Business. I always order the jerk tips and I'm Never disappointed except these last 2 times. I stopped going for the special on Wednesday along time ago because it was just that good that i didn't care about saving a few bucks. So I usually go on a Thursday and Friday and Both times, the last Two, the tips were not even close to the tenderness & flavor that constantly had me running back and spreading the word in the past. I haven't seen him(owner) there but have indeed seen the wife whom may I add is always pleasant as is the other staff but there were so many customers, I didn't want to put the business on blast after that one bad encounter, but now it's been 2. I'm hoping this review will be seen by the owners so they can get back to what they have done so well in the past and that's Q some BBQ! I want this location to thrive & continue to have longevity. I understand staffing issues and other everyday issues this is why I will give Kirk one more go around. I Believe & Support Black Businesses! God Bless! UPDATE!!!!! Kirks BBQ is hands down my favorite place. Not only for the food but for the nice people working behind the counter also. I was the last customer in line on a Saturday night ordering a bucket of rib tips and they were nearly sold out, but they went above and beyond and gave me the full bucket of rib tips that I came for. That meant a lot! They didn't have enough but the cook made more for me, that alone is an EASY 5 star review for me every time. You can totally tell they’re family people too which is awesome. The food? The best. Rib tips, hot links, BBQ chicken are my favorites. That sauce though is something outta this world! Great place and a must try. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of my favorite bbq restaurants, unfortunately my latest visit didn’t hit like my previous visits. My Turkey tip/hot link combo seemed a bit undercooked the texture was gummy .
