The service was great and my waitress was wonderful. However, the food was not great. I got the pad Thai, and it was 90% spouts, very few noodles. Also it was extremely soupy. The portion was also quite small and the price was much higher than some of the nearby Thai restaurants. I paid $18 with tip for the pad Thai. Safe to say I won't be going back. In town for a single night. Reviews looked good for Kinnaree Thai so I chose it for dinner. Nothing fancy. Kind of a diner vibe. Very friendly staff. Now to the important part... the food. I ordered Tom Kha soup and Chicken Panang Curry. They came out fairly quickly but they were scorching hot so I had to wait quite a while to begin eating. I think the ceramic dishes might have been melting. The Tom Kha was about as good as any I've had. The panang curry was quite different. It was not peanut butter based, like the typical American Panang. Not sure which I like better but this is absolutely authentic. Everyone that works there is very friendly. And the food was wonderful. We had chicken satay and angel eggplant. The grilled chicken with the peanut sauce was great. The vegetables in the eggplant dish were fresh. With the sauce and the basil, it was so flavorful. I wish we lived nearby so we could eat there again.
