Dining at Kathmandu Restaurant was a culinary experience I'll never forget. My meal, the Chicken Tikka, was a masterpiece of flavors, perfectly cooked and richly seasoned, making each bite a delight. Accompanied by their garlic naan, which was soft, buttery, and infused with just the right amount of garlic, it was a combination that I found myself savoring long after the meal had ended. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service, particularly from our server, Daniel. His friendliness and attentiveness were unmatched, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our visit. His recommendations were spot on, ensuring that our meal was not just food, but an experience to remember. Kathmandu Restaurant's commitment to authentic Nepalese cuisine, coupled with outstanding service, makes it a must-visit for anyone in Albany looking for an exceptional dining experience. This review was for the food served at the Solano Stroll. I got the Himalayan Curry and Saag Panner with the Chicken Momos. Momos were pretty good (hence the two stars instead of one) but the other two dishes were more than disappointing. Neither had much sauce at all and both had no flavor. Chicken was badly overcooked at 1130 in the AM and should have never been served. Paneer was similarly rubbery and flavorless. I don't do a lot of bad reviews but if this is the kind of food they allow to be served in their name I can't pass up the opportunity to warn people excited for a good meal like I was. Everything was delicious! The samosas had a nice spice that lingers after you finished eating for a few minutes. The Naan 🫓 was really well made and had a nice fresh crunch to it. The chicken 🍗 dish was full of flavor. Family owned since 1994 and had a Tibetan unique decor inside.

This was my first time having Tibetan food. All of the food was homemade. The food was rich and flavorful. My friend and I ordered the momo, samosas, daal soup, naan, cinnamon lassi and banana lassi. Everything was delicious! The service was fantastic. I don't remember his name however, he was attentive and informative on the foods. The atmosphere and aesthetics of the restaurants were beautiful.
