Started off really strong, with great service, beautiful drinks and delicious food. We made this reservation 3 days prior for a table of 7. There was no mention of 1 hr seating time when the reservation was booked, or at the start of our service, but one minute before we were wanted out with half filled drinks, and a takeaway meal still 15 minutes off. We were rushed out the door, and were told to wait in the raining cold for 10 minutes for the takeaway. However, highly recommend the passion fruit and coconut margarita’s. Came here for early dinner with no reservation and we were lucky enough to get a table even though the restaurant was fully booked but we were told to be out before 6. We had to quickly order and I got the chicken rice bowl as well as the nachos. The chicken was yummy although quite dry and I couldn't really taste much flavour overall. I would come back but I would probably order something else. We also got the burrito which was much more worth the price as the serving size is quite large! Staff were friendly and service was great! One of the best burritos I’ve had...period. The pulled pork was delicious and the homemade salsa was a perfect addition. The nachos were on a planet of their own. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend trying this place when staying at Nozawaonsen.

Yummy Mexican food and delightful margaritas and sangria. The staff speaks English and are very friendly. They have gluten free and vegetarian options. A reservation is recommended on nights when the town is crowded with tourists. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Delicious food and GREAT jalapeño margaritas. I was grateful that all the food was labeled with gf/v for my gluten allergies and being a vegetarian. Such a cute little spot - wish it was a bit bigger because it’s just that great! The staff was super genki and kind even though we had a big group. They care about covid protocols and that made us feel safe. Will hopefully be back!

When we arrived we were sat at a table that had water dripping onto it from the ceiling. There was no option for us to move because the restaurant was fully booked so we had to squeeze to one side and put a cloth on the table to soak up the drip. Even worse was the water damage in the bathroom where there was multiple drips from the ceiling and the floor was soaked in water. Not sure what the health and safety laws are here but it was very unsafe. The staff were doing the best they could but was very unorganised and was no structure to the night with us getting asked multiple times if we would like to order from different waitstaff when we were still waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Great mexican, highly recommend pork birria nachos, chicken chipotle burrito and their margaritas (coconut and strawberry were top pics). We came without a reservation and were lucky to be seated straight away. Fast and friendly service. Recommend booking to avoid missing out! Soooooo goood. The staff are epic. Made space for us when we didn’t book (please make sure you book so you don’t miss out). The food is to die for. Probably one of the best Mexican places I’ve eaten at. Easily one of the best joints in Japan doling out mega impressive Mexican food. This is legit. Après-ski 100/10 Ain’t your Tex-mex fiesta from Tokyo or Osaka, since these folk know what they are doing. Cannot recommend enough if you are in Nozawa! Must must must visit!! Ensure you make a reservation if you got a larger group going (3+)
