The food was terrific, and the service was great!! We had the BEST crab cakes, which were very reasonably priced. The sides were tasty, too. I did only give the atmosphere 4 stars because I didn't want to mislead. To us, it was a cozy little place at a seaside town, which was just fine. But, if you want fancy surroundings, you would need to go to another restaurant and pay high prices for just so-so seafood. I'd recommend here! Been here several times and one of my go to spot for seafood in Port Isabel. Simply fresh, delicious and on point. The prices are simply reasonable and the portions are generous👌It will not cost you an arm & a leg to have a good seafood plate. I come with friends and we all share our plate like a buffet. The best atmosphere and freshest seafood there could be in the Port Isabel & South Padre Island area. And not to mention the cheapest! I've been going to this restaurant since about 20 years ago or so. The waiters are the same recognizable friendly faces. The food is always fresh and delicious. I recommend the Joey's Deluxe seafood platter (fried). It has 2 fish filets, 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, and (my favorite) a stuffed crab. You can't go wrong with this platter. The ceviche is also one of the best I've tasted. The raw oysters are also a favorite of mine. Their tasty michelada will also make you want more than one. It was a cool day, but they heated up the dining room lovely. Accessibility for my mom’s wheel chair is on the side of the building. Margarita was tasty and the meals were fresh and came out quickly. Wednesday oyster special, $8.99/dozen! We have never been disappointed when dining here. Wife's grilled Neptune platter was heaped with filets, shrimp and crab cakes.
