As someone from the food Capitol of America there’s not a ton of good option in federal way but this place takes the cake each time. This was my second day in a row ordering from them! Easy to pick up and they have Apple Pay which is amazing. They did for get my salad and my steak was overly cooked but the manager refunded me for my meal and I was very appreciative. Great people and very kind. Chowder is great. I’ve only gotten pick up so not sure how I’m sit down service is but I’m sure it’s great considering how nice they are at pick up! I have eaten here twice, and sadly the food was horrible both times. Their steak is positively coated in pepper which made it inedible. Their ribs were very dry and not flavorful. The service was good, nothing exceptional. Honestly, the only good thing was the french fries and ranch dip. What a waste of money. I will NEVER be back. Shout out to Dawson for taking care of my family and getting us seated right away. She showed us great service , attitude and even stated her recommendation on one of the burgers. All the food was excellent. I have always ordered from JMacs, trying different menu items, and they are consistent in quality. This was a first dining in and was a slice of home(Texas) with the eats and atmosphere. My Kiddo and baby enjoyed it here as well. Great job all around! We love Jimmy Mac's! We've been eating here for more than 10 years and have only had great experiences. Love the food. Reasonable prices. Great for kids (who doesn't love throwing peanut shells on the floor??). Someone gave our family $100 gift for Christmas, so we told our kids they could choose any restaurant they wanted us to go to....Jimmy Mac's was the unanimous choice. We ate there last night and had a great experience like always. Server Jordan was fantastic. Attentive and helpful and great with the kids. Food was excellent. One of the line cooks noticed our kids watching him grilling steaks on the walk out and gave them a cool "fire show" by spreading oil on the grill. Just a great experience over all. Extra mayo comes in a packet? The tomato on mine was almost the same size as the largest pickle (see photo). There was no refill on soda or tea, and the wait staff was MIA during the entire meal. Also watched the manager knock off several baskets of rolls onto the ground, calling another staff member to come clean it up ONLY after several guests walked over them when being seated... all the while the manager talked "smack" to the cooks. Delicious food and amazing service! You can start your meal off with peanuts and fluffy rolls. I got the combo of top sirloin and the campfire chicken. It came with 2 sides and I got macaroni & cheese and mashed potatoes & gravy. It was all so delicious! The service staff were so helpful and kind. The atmosphere was casual and you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. The lighting was pretty dim even for an early afternoon. I would highly recommend visiting for great BBQ! Me and my wife had never come here since we just moved to Washington, We decided to give it a chance tonight. Our server was Samantha G. My wife got the Salmon, I got the Pulled pork sandwich and we both split an onion ring. First initial impression of my meal was the pulled pork was dry not a whole lot of flavor, I didn’t get the skinny fries I initially asked for with my meal, my server gave me steak fries I decided just to eat it anyways didn’t feel like waiting longer. My sweet tea was probably the most decent part of my whole meal. My wife enjoyed her Salmon though so that’s why I even gave a 3 star review. The whole reason I’m leaving a review is because I was sat at table 20 right in eye shot of the Expo pass over shelf. I could see my server the entire time and the rest of the crew for that matter. I couldn’t help but to notice my server drop a to go container, it was one of the plastic bowls with a lid flat on the ground, pick it back up and then take it to the table of elderly people across from us to my right. First off, when something drops on the ground you don’t pick it up and hand it to the customer for them to put their left overs in. Especially since there is peanut shells all over the ground your servers are stepping in constantly tracking them every where. You don’t know if that woman has a peanut allergy and that’s also really disgusting. It takes five seconds to grab a new container. After sitting and watching for a minute I couldn’t help myself, I went over and told the elderly woman whom my server Samantha handed the container too that the server had dropped her container on the ground and handed it to her anyways. When the elderly woman asked the server about it. Samantha blatantly lied and said she never did, even though me being a customer who has nothing to gain from this experience watched her do it, come on have some integrity. That’s exactly the whole reason I even am leaving a review, if your servers are okay lying to elderly customers I wonder what other poor practices are being done at this establishment. I did notify the manager he continued to say sorry over and over and not give me a second to talk, my server never came back to my table, probably due to embarrassment, I didn’t raise my voice or act in any vigorous manner to cause a scene. I expressed my concerns but sadly management disregarded my concerns as well and cashed me out. I never have not tipped before, even if the food is terrible. But watching Samantha G lie to an elderly woman to her face, that’s what struck a nerve with me. That woman could’ve got sick from what ever was on the ground, she looked well into her mid 60’s. Please do better and don’t serve your customers to go containers that you drop on the ground, even the health department would agree with that. I attached a receipt from my visit to furthermore prove I was present and dining in. This is a one and done for me though, I will not be returning.
