I’ve lived in the area for 7 years and have consistently received poor experiences at the Naperville Jewel. I prefer the Maple Jewel. The attitude of those in Naperville is a “mightier than thou” and better than the customers of a certain color. I will consistently see white customers before me greeted and those after me greeted. In the Maple Jewel I’ve never had one issue with their service employees. Naperville Jewel, DO BETTER!!!
Ultimate Thanksgiving turkey package was perfect. Service was awesome. Selection of cookies made my mouth water. Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving.
Very neatly organized store with wide varities of eats and vegies n fruits. These products are like garden fresh. There are many varieties of drinks and other edible stuffs. Caters household daily needs.
Employees are always very nice here. Produce sales are terrific during the summer time. Quality is good. Meat department had great sales like buy 1 rib get 2 free earlier in the summer. Very good deals. Make sure you have a free account with them, so you can get these deals.
Today is the last day I will ever enter this store. Their pricing is on the same level as Mariano’s, except Mariano’s doesn’t smell like sewer and doesn’t look like a time trip to 1970s. Most products are literally over 2x to what they are in Walmart. Hope this store goes bankrupt.
The prices are too high. They lure you in with certain decent sales and jack up the prices on other items. An example: Hampton peanuts in the shell. They have always been $2.99/bag. Other stores sell it for that price too. They recently increased each bag to $4.49 and cleverly put it "on sale" for $3.99. So that "sale" is actually a dollar more than how it used to be priced and what other stores sell it for. I will say that those peanuts usually have mold noted on the shell anyway and many are burned inside, so I won't be buying them anymore. Their large container of salad increased by another dollar and the creamers are going up too. They have buy one, get one 1/2 price offers, but when you increase the item more than what other stores sell it for and offer 1/2 off the second and divide both items total by two, they both equal out to be much higher than the regular price at other stores. I saw a make up item that is normally prices for $8.99 at other stores, priced $12.99 at Jewel.
Know your prices and don't just fall for the sales gimmicks because it could cost you more.
The store was and usually is busy here. Garden center was winding down and they were in-stock with free samples of wine and food. The last time I came on a staurday we got a couple items for free. I believe this is every week possibly. Call your jewel and see of they have that for you too!
The Floral department at this store is the best floral department across all Jewel-Osco stores. I went here Saturday 10/15 to help my future father in-law get flowers for my future mother in-law as a surprise Sweetest Day gift. The manager Allison was very helpful. She professionally guided me to all types of ideas. The selection was incredible and I splurged for all the extra brownie points I could get. I ended up buying over $75 of 3 for $15's, an arrangement, and stock(decorative fall twisty twigs and brightly colored wheat!). I love coming to this store's Floral department for the past couple of years because you can tell this Manager CARES and KNOWS HOW TO DO IT RIGHT! I also bought some other things from grocery, a cold but over priced Sunkist and some cheese. Everyone here is great, I miss Tony, Jose is awesome. But I always come for the flowers. With Allison's guidance I was able to put together a couple amazing bouquets to save the day!
Went in this afternoon, $94 spent , however when I got home and looked at receipt, which normally I do not, there were multiple mistakes called and talked to Nancy, she said bring in receipt and phone as I used the “U” coupons, they didn’t pick them up at checkout, refund $41
Yes Nancy took care of immediate issue, bigger problem is how about those who do not double check receipts almost a 50% overcharge
Prices are going up, most at store today were seniors so fixed income,
“ We had some issues “ really? hold people accountable, and make it right with customers when there is such a huge mistake
I did reach out, gave phone number you could contact me at; I was told a complaint was filed and someone would be “calling” this did not happen
