Feb 2024. 1st time here. We came in sesrch of an Angus burger. Found it! Our server kevin was very helpful and friendly. We had the pattymelt- delicious. The crab cakes were some of best iv tasted. It’s Valentine’s Day and our 10th anniversary and we thought it would be special to go to Jameson’s Charhouse so we made reservations to go. The only thing special about it is I just had the worst dinner experience of my life. I am sensitive to cream and butter and I can’t eat it or it will make me sick. I ordered the macadamia crusted Seabass. When it arrived, I started to eat it and realized it had a cream sauce under the fish. It was a special and it was not listed on the special menu as having a cream sauce. I am highly sensitive and I cannot eat heavy foods, creams, butter, oil, fried foods etc. I asked to see the manager and he said he would make another one dry and well done. He told me it says that on the menu and I said no it does not. My husband asked for a menu and I was correct. The manager said that’s just how we make it here, like I should know. He made a new one and brought it out and it was so oily, I can’t do oily food either so at this point I’m nauseas from the cream , no longer hungry and just want him to take it off my bill. He comes over and tells me this is how they make it and I can literally press my fork on the fish and see oil coming out of it. He said the next time you come here just order the broiled fish and I said oh, I don’t think they’ll be a next time. He said well good I don’t need customers like you anyways wasting my food and wasting my time. This made me cry because I was so hurt by how rude he was. I’ll never go back and I hope that my story helps you if you are food sensitive. Because if you don’t have an iron stomach, and you can’t just eat anything, this is not the place to go. I had the combo of New York strip steak and 1/2 slab of ribs. Ribs were wonderful: tasty, juicy, fall off the bone delicious. Steak was, on the other hand, just a piece of meat: semi tough, very slightly juicy, and thin. Nothing to brag about. The tiramisu was THE BOMB! I finished it all, delicious. We were in the restaurant for over 2 hours for the whole experience. I had the Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned and it was filled to the rim with small cubed ice and tasted like water. Could not taste any of the alcohol in the drink. Switched to wine which was OK. Appetizers (calamari and saganaki) were good. I had the Greek style pork chops which were dry and were not seasoned very well. The loaded baked potato I had with the mean looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a very long time.... very dry and the cheese was crusted on the top. Other members at the table stated that the hamburger was good, the parmesan crusted fish was good and the fettucine alfredo's sauce was very sticky and cold. One of the employees even tried to take our food before we were even done with it. I don't think it was the best experience for the price tag so that is why I gave it 3 stars. Mediocre at best.
