Third time is not a charm...my wife and went out for date night to jade bistro The place was busy, to be expected for Saturday around dinner time. We got seated fairly quickly. The lady acting as server was given too many tables it seems. She provided the bare minimum of attention to the table, and after 20 minutes took the order. Appetizers came out fairly quickly, but had to remind her we asked for two salads. My dinner came out, but not my wife's. We waited another 20 minutes for hers to show up. Some of the ingredients (hibachi) were cold, some warm, but nothing hot. The server just looked confused, and tried to cover, but it seemed to us that they/she forgot about it in the kitchen. She took it off the bill after I insisted. So, sad to say no more Jade Bistro for us again. It's unfortunate because the food is delicious there. A restaurant survives on consistency, quality and service. It's now been too many times with a lack of all three to support them. Akanomi will be where we go moving forward. Review 2 The previous review is below, the new one it this: So, we've gone back again a few more times and they're more consistent now. Food is good services is fast and prices are fair for this kid of stuff. At this point, I'm raising my review "stars." I hope they keep it up. It's again a place we enjoy going to. Review 1 Before this was Jade Bistro, it was Dragon Garden. We LOVED Dragon Garden. Especially their Dim Sum. After it became Jade Bistro, I stopped by for take out. I called in the order and picked it up. When I got home, they had completely forgotten to pack one of the Meals. I called and they were very apologetic. "We're so very sorry I see it in the kitchen. They didn't pack it." They gave me my cost back plus tax. Today I thought I'd try them again. This time when I got home, the Dim Sum was literally raw and cold. Called in for a reservation a week in advance only to arrive and be told they had no record of my reservation. Waited 15 minutes for a table only to be seated in a very tight area where I and my date both sat practically shoulder to shoulder with strangers on either side (less than a foot of space from others) making any sort of dinner conversation a public matter. Moved to the bar and placed our orders there. One out and fifteen minutes later I was served a steak hibachi with raw steak chunks. Raw as in bright pink inside and metallic tasting. Mentioned this to the bartender who was unapologetic and didn’t even look at the raw steak that was served while trying to offer a replacement. An hour and forty five minutes after initially arriving, I just wasn’t interested anymore. Terrible experience beginning to end. Disgusting restaurant, zero cleanliness and overall rude and almost none existent service. Was a nice place in the past but has completely gone down hill. It is not worth your time or money to support these people who do not care for their customers. They seem to be proud of serving uncleaned food with bugs on it. Good food, quick service, and okay atmosphere. Some of it is dated and sometimes you feel like maybe you are interrupting a party you weren’t invited to, but I really like this as a quick spot to get good Chinese food and Sushi! This place was wonderful when it initially opened. I am sure COVID hit this place hard because they are perpetually understaffed. I routinely order food to go. Then it is painfully obvious that my food has not started to be prepared until I arrive, and the host goes back to ask if it is ready. I wait at least 15 min every time. The last time I ordered, the same thing happened, but I noticed half of my order already sitting on the table. I waited 20 more minutes again for them to obviously cook and complete the rest of the food on Mt order. When I got home the sushi was warm after sitting next to warm food. One of the entrees was essentially inedible the entire plastic was filled with oil. I have given this place chance after chance because their food is good. I spent 164 dollars on to go food and threw away about 60 dollars of it. In the past I have tried to discuss these issues with a "manager" and they could care less.
