This was me & my Dad’s first time at Island Way Grill. It was a lively Friday night filled with sounds of laughter & birthday wishes. My Dad had the salad wedge, almond crusted shrimp, & pork chop with wasabi mashed potatoes. He was impressed by the salad wedge & loved the pork chop. I had the Oysters Rockefeller & pan-seared Grouper with brussel sprouts. We both really enjoyed our meals & will be back soon as I only live 10 min away. Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant!!! Highly recommended from a lot of my friends, and I know why. They made sure food was prepared exactly as requested (allergy related), and they even went out of their way to get a specific item that was off the menu for my son!!! Great service, actually it was outstanding. From the moment we parked, the valet guys were awesome and we parked our exotic cars right up front. Our server, Jake, was one of the best servers I've had in 100's of restaurants. Great suggestions and even better follow through with the food! We did steak (filets) cooked perfectly to our liking, the crab bisque, crab dip, and few other items, everything was great. Beautiful restaurant on the waterfront. Friendly, professional staff, from hostess, bar staff, server and bussers. I have no complaints. Celebrating a friends birthday, the whole restaurant Sang happy Birthday! The food was fantastic, the drinks were flowing (we Uber'd), and surprisingly the cost was not outrageous. We reserved the table at 8 pm. Waited for 50 minutes. We didn’t eat intentionally so it was very bad waiting experience. For me Food and service were good, but my girlfriend felt weird after it and said that she felt that she can throw up.
